Question about Washing Machines
I start the machine, put it on cold/cold option, the water runs in, swishes around, drains, the first green "wash" light goes out, water starts running in from the HOT hose and the machine shuts down and starts beeping. If I press start/pause the red light on the lid lock comes on, and if I press the start/pause again nothing happens. I have to press the power on/off switch and the machine shuts down and comes back on with all three green wash lights on. I manually move it to the second wash button with my arrow button and it starts washing again and finishes all cycles without further problems. Anyone have any idea what is wrong? This is a relatively new machine. I got it about a year ago and I have been happy with it so far, but this is driving me crazy.

SOURCE: washer will not spin
I'm having a little trouble understanding the question because of the spelling, but this sounds like a typical lid switch not making contact either by the depressor on the lit itself or the switch is broken. try depressing the switch with a screwdriver and see what happens. The lid switch will be in a little slot in the top inside where the lid closes.

sometimes too much detergent, or extra cleaners like oxy clean) will cause lots of foam which will cause the water level sensor to misread, or foam over the top of the drum. if this is not the problem, you will have to tilt the machine on its side and look for loose or damaged hoses. the play in the tub will not cause leaking

Please make sure that your water supply lines are properly connected and turned on. Also, there are typically small filters at the end of the hoses where they connect to the washer. Check those and clean them if necessary.
Since the hoses will be disconnected at that time, flush the lines by running the water into a nearby drain or bucket.

SOURCE: washing machine errors
It appears your timer/main controller/CCU has failed in this instance.
For replacement parts - head on over to PartSelect.com or RepairClinic.com and enter in your full model number for a full parts listing.
I recommend both sites because ...
FixYa has no affiliation with either site - I have been using and recommending them for years - trouble free.
PartSelect has a great schematic database for locating the part on your unit and great "testimonials" for each part that often times includes HOW-TO information.
RepairClinic has pictures of each part they sell and also a great how-to and troubleshooting for basic repairs.
If your unit has never been serviced - there should still be an original service manual enclosed in plastic taped to the inside of the shell.
In the service manual are Error codes, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting steps you can follow.
Anything too complicated or beyond your scope should be handled by a professional.
If you think you want to tackle the repair - and have gotten stuck on a step - reply to your question and I will be glad to help you out.
Thanks for using FixYa - a 4 THUMBS rating is appreciated for answering your FREE question!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
