I took a shot in the dark and looked up how to make a recovery disc for a Pavilion 9900, since I can't find the Pavilion type you listed in the title of this thread.. The instructions are pretty simple:

"To create the recovery disc set, Click Start , All Programs , PC Help & Tools (or similar), open the HP or Compaq Recovery CD-DVD Creation software, and follow the on-screen directions".

Here's the link to the complete document at HP.com:

How to Make or Order a Recovery Disc

Good luck.

Use the sections in this document to obtain a recovery solution that works best for you.

Hard disk error no recovery disc

    @lizegim

HP laptops have a built-in recovery mode on the system wherein you don't need to use a disc to restore it to factory default. The hotkey for the recovery is the F10 key. After you press the power button, you need to simultaneously press the F10 key to start system recovery. If this one won't work and gave you like an "I/O Error" or "Error 0x000000E" or something similar then that means that the HDD is already defective and needs replacement and you need to order the recovery discs from HP at 1-800-474-6836. If you're still under warranty, they'll replace the HDD and give the Recovery Discs to you for free.

    Good luck.

I am delete my one key recovery partion.so i cannot access my one key recovery button....please tell me how can i reactive my one key recovery button tyo restore the operating system...

If you deleted your recovery partition, you will need your recovery discs in order to properly restore your recovery partition. Depending on the manufacturer of the computer depends on how you would access these discs. If they did NOT come with your computer you will need to contact the company and order them. Otherwise you can pop in the first of however many discs into your optical drive (cd / dvd), and when the computer turns on (the first screen) look for something that says "Press F(number 1-12) to access boot menu"
You will then need to reboot your machine, press the F key that it dictates, and then boot from the particular DVD / CD drive that your recovery disc is in using the arrow keys. Please ensure all of your data is already backed up, as using the recovery discs will remove all data on your computer. Good luck!

My pc is lock .my dauther try to many password

Some times the CAPS Lock key may be on, so please make sure that the CAPS Lock key is off.

If the issue still exists, I request you to perform the full system recovery using the recovery disks. To perform this full system recovery, you can use the recovery disks that you have created using the recovery partition.
Use the recovery discs to restore the PC by following the steps below:
    1. Insert the recovery disc in the optical disc drive and start the computer.
If the computer is running, insert the recovery disc and immediately click Start and select Restart to force the computer to start from the recovery disc.
    2. When prompted, Press any key to boot from CD or DVD, press any key on the keyboard.
    3. Allow the recovery disc to start and load the required files while the Microsoft loading screen is displayed. It may take several minutes to load the required files.
    4. When the HP Recovery Manager window displays, click Advanced options , System recovery , and then click Next to open the Recovery Manager.
    5. Follow the on-screen instructions and perform the required actions.
NOTE: Do not interrupt the recovery process even though the computer may restart and the Windows desktop may display at various times.
    · When prompted, follow the on-screen instructions to Backup the user files.
After performing the backup, when prompted, re-insert the recovery disc, and then click Next to continue the recovery process.
    · A status box is displayed to indicate the status of the recovery and the estimated time remaining.
    · If you used multiple discs when you created the personalized recovery discs, follow the prompts to remove the first disc and insert any requested discs.
    6. When prompted to Insert the Supplemental driver disc , take one of the following actions:
    · If you purchased a replacement recovery disc from HP, and it included a Supplemental driver disc, insert the disc and click OK or Next . The recovery program checks the supplemental disc and installs the specific needed files.
After the Supplemental files are installed, a prompt is displayed to remove the Supplemental disc and insert the original recovery disc.
    · If you purchased a replacement recovery disc from HP, and it did not include a Supplemental driver disc, click Skip or Cancel . The recovery program will ignore the request and install the next file on the recovery disc.
    · If you created a personal recovery disc, press Next to continue.
    7. Continue following the on-screen instructions to complete the recovery process.
NOTE: If you have not created a personal recovery disc, or the recovery disc fails or become corrupted, see HP Notebook PCs - Order Recovery Discs for Vista as your notebook is preinstalled with Genuine Windows Vista Home Premium with Service Pack 1.
