Question about Drills
This has been in use for 2 years, but doesn't get used much, just putting up blinds, pictures, small shelves, hurricane shutter frames. I thought the problem was with a loose plug connection to an extension cord, renewed that, same problem, then tested drill without an extension. It still works intermittently, the variable speed button, above the trigger, goes through body to other side, has to be pressed very firmly in so the drill starts.
Is this fixable and what parts would I need? I should have returned it to the Ace Hardware shop in St Vincent (West Indies) where I bought it but I live on the next island and don't sail over often.
Would appreciate your help, new drills are expensive here!
Check the brushes. the switch may have a short. Also, check the wiring from the switch, making sure there is no loose connections to the field. Definitely fixable. Lemme know Please rate me
