certain amount of wrong unlock codes on your Blackberry 9800 Torch
mobile phone, your phone may get hard locked and sometimes become
1 - Switch ON your Blackberry 9800 Torch with your current network/service provider's SIM card.
2 - Using the menu go to Settings Menu -> SIM card and press select.
3 - While holding the SHIFT key, type mepd.(NOTE: You may not see any text appear on the screen while typing mepd)
4 - You should now see the five locking categories listed.
5 - While holding the SHIFT KEY, type mep2.(NOTE: You may not see any text appear on the screen while typing mep2).
6 - Release the shift key.
7 - You will now be prompted to enter the Network MEP code. (it will also state how many attempts left)
8 - Enter the Unlock Code.
9 - Enter Return/Enter.
10 - The Blackberry 9800 Torch should then be unlocked.

You must have a Motorola unlock code to unlock your phone. If you have it:

If the phone does not ask for the code then try the following:
Insert the new SIM card.
Turn on your handset.
Press and hold the * key until a box appears.
Enter the unlock code
The handset is then successfully unlocked.
If you have a Motorola V10 and your phone is saying "subsidy lock enabled", please follow the instrucrtions below: When the message appears press continue. Then enter **057* and the phone will then ask you to enter the unlock code.
To change the lock code of your phone
Your phone's lock code is used to lock and unlock your phone.
The default lock code is 1234.
Use Menu 4-3-2-3 (Settings- Security settings-Access Codes - Change lock code) to change the lock code.
When the phone requires the lock code, it displays "Enter lock code:".
Enter the code, then press OK.
If you enter a wrong lock code five times in succession, your phone prompts you for the security code. Saving the unlocked phone number
Use Menu 4-3-2-2 (Settings - Security - Settings - Unlocked phone number)to save a number that may be called even when your phone is locked. You will be required to enter the lock code.
Calling the unlocked phone number.
Press the Up or Down arrow keys or or manually enter the number exactly as it is saved, then press Call.
Note: The More key will pause the automatic scrolling of the help text. Pressing the More key or the Up or Down arrow keys will toggle through the pages. The More key is only displayed when the help text is displayed.
With ATT sim in phone, Power on & wait to initialize.
Then, press & hold the green key until the

Then, press red button 5 times until the exit is

"unlock code screen". Press the phonebook key once then.
To enter the code you use the green & red keys to scroll
to the proper numbers to enter 6 digit code.
You scroll to the proper number and press the phonebook
key at the number you select until the entire code is entered.
Once done, you will scroll to the "done" and
press the phonebook key once.
