I am trying to connect my Samsung TV LE32A559P - 32'' Widescreen 1080P and PS3 using a LINX HDMI Cable - Premium 24K Gold Plated HDMI Lead. When I turn on the PS3 it say the HMDI lead has been found would I like to output Audio and Video using the HDMI. If I select yes the screen goes blank and I have to turn off the PS3. On the PS3 I went into Settings…Display setting…Video output and selected HDMI. I got the following message. “Press button X. the screen will be displayed based on this setting. If the setting is not correct the screen will go blank temporarily. Then after 30 second the system will go back to the previous screen” The screen then goes blank for 30 seconds and doesn’t change to the HDMI setting. Any help with this problem would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Problem connecting HDMI cable
Hey there I don't see why your playstation 3 should be doing that other than the console being defective. Sony doesn't have this problem that often and actually this is the first time i have heard of such problem. Try making sure the the HDMI cable is connected at both ends all the way in and also make sure your Samsung is a 1080P which i am pretty sure it is and finally if you have a friend or another 1080P HDTV in your house i would try and see if your ps3 will support the 1080P feature. If you still have the problem even when you use a different TV then its the ps3 that is malfunctioning otherwise it would be your Samsung. Let me know how that turns out alright.

That HDMI connection hub port it some how got short and it dead.Tries other HDMI connections hubs.If all are like that they are all dead. All HDMI hubs ports connections are link together. If one dies usually all HDMI hubs dies together.Than ur tv Tuner signal board will not have anymore HDMI hubs functions connections at all, none of the HDMI hubs will work again ever.Have happen to mine Samung tv,so now i have to stop using HDMI hubs all together.
If it's the first time using your PS3, use the composite cables that came with it. Turn on the PS3 go to video settings and switch the input to HDMI. After you've switched to HDMI, turn the PS3 off and connect your HDMI cable, go back to video settings and change the resolution to 1080p. If this isn't the first time you've used HDMI for your PS3, make sure your T.V. is on the correct input. If the T.V. is on the correct input, try switching the HDMI cable to a different input. If that doesn't work try using a different HDMI cable, testing different HDMI connections if you're still getting the black screen. If none of those work then it's probably a problem with the PS3, but just to make sure try plugging something else with HDMI to see if that works. If another HDMI device works, then it's your PS3, if it doesn't then it could be a problem with your HDMI connections on the T.V.
You may have the resolution on the PS3 set higher (say 1080p) then what your TV supports (1080i or 720p). Use the Yellow/Red/White cable that came with the PS3 to connect to the TV. Go to that input and check the resolution. Start at a lower resolution and check the HDMI input. If the TV does support 1080p, try a different/better HDMI cable.
I have samsung also. You connect your plugs in the back where they go. Go to your settings on your PS3 and make sure that it is 1080p or 720p, whichever your tv is. And your tv will adopt those settings to recieve high definition data from your gaming system. Hope it works for ya! If so, please leave me feedback!
I solve it already my problem by connecting my ps3 to an 32 inches lcdtv and I change the videosetting to my ps3 to default setting because before when I had my sony bravia 32 inches I changed it to 1080p via HDMI cable signal...After I changed to default settings I connected it again to my own LG lcdtv 19 inches but it sadly 1080p is not so very much supported but anyway I can play now ps3 games...
It sucks to see ALLLLLLL these solutions, when I have the solution. Turn off DEEP COLOR in the video settings. It will immediately stop. If it doesn't, then you don't have the typical snow/flickering problem.
The Toshiba 32AV500U cannot display 1080p. Hook up your PS3 to your computer monitor, provided that it can display 1080p, or some other TV that can, then change your Video Output settings under Settings> Display Settings and uncheck 1080p, which will allow the PS3 to display in 1080i. Once you do that, then hook up the Toshiba via HDMI and it will work with no problem.
