Internet Service Providers by default protects the subscribers from spam.
Check your email white list and add the email addresses of those you can't receive.

If you cannot receive certain emails only, it can be because your address had been written wrongly by the sender, contact the sender and check this out.

If you have a spammed mail folder, check also in your spam mail, if you use automated antispam, the mails may have been directed by mistake in the spam folder.

Another reason why you are not receiving some emails, is when you are accessing the same email account using Outlook, Outlook express and similar email software.

Each time Outlook opens your email on the computer, the mail that you read is being deleted from the server, therefore wont be directed to the phone.

You need to go to Outlook Tools menu >>> account settings >>> advanced >>> and change the settings 'Leave a copy of message on the server'.

Any other reason for not receiving emails, different from the three mentioned befor, will concern your email service provider server.

If you are not receiveing emails always from the same senders, then the problem is with their SMTP server. The smtp serve (simple mail transfer protocol) is the server that sends mail.
To fix this problem, the senders will probably need to verify with the service provider for their emails.

Email.will not replyor forward

Try sending an email to yourself, preferably from a different email address, if you have two. If it arrives, send a reply.
If that fails, try and get to the website of your email supplier (who are you with?) See if there is a 'Help/Contact us' button.
Let us know how you get on.

Can't use either Microsoft Live Mail or Lookout Express v6 with Belkin Router. Can't send or receive email Can you tell me what the email setup is for either one? Both email programs probably use the same...

Ask COMCAST for the names of their POP-server and of their MAIL-server, and configure Outlook Express to use those names.

Microsoft Live Mail is "web-based" -- all you need to do is to web-surf to their web-site, login, and click "send/receive" or click "compose" and later "send".

We changed suppliers for our phone line, checked with new suppliers and they hold us the problem was our Norton. Can you please tell me what to do, we are unable to send emails. We can receive OK

ok..the smtp settings are dependent on who is sending you the internet signal..go to their website, and look for help for pop settings or smtp settings..then open your email account profile, and make that change..that is most likely the cause

I was having this same problem.

Here's what I did:
Under Tools-->Accounts, select email account and then select Properties-->Servers. At the bottom, check the box "My Server Requires Authentication," and then select Settings. Select "use same settings as my incoming server"

After I did all that, my problem disappeared. Hope that helps you.
