I've posted a video of what the screen looks like to YouTube. The TV functions perfectly, minus the 'cracked look' artifact at the bottom left. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fS50ictldEw Any advice on whether this is a damaged board/part on the TV that I can easily replace or if this is now a cracked screen? If it's a cracked screen, is it worth replacing or should I just get a new TV? Thanks to everyone for your help in advance.

I have this exact same problem on my same model TV. It started just before Christmas. Have you been able to find any resolution?

unfortunately it sounds like the electrical signal component of the tv is beginning to fail or was subject to a power surge, usually if you get dead pixels you will only get dots on the screen, if you get a dead inverter, it simply loses its backlight, so i would suggest it may have to go to a repairer.
