I would have advised you before placing the tablet dry compartment with a dry cloths otherwise tablet would be stuck together. If does't help then put the tablet directly into the sink and never choose a quick program if you do not have functions (like 3 in 1, multi tab and so on....) that extend the time of duration of washing phase and give enough time for dissolve tab. Sometimes people on the upper basket hang up various odors or put dishes that may prevent to open small door to the end and dropping tablet.
The tablet most likely will drop during the washing cycle but the remaining time is not enough to dissolve the tablet and wash result will be bad.
It sounds like your first problem with the detergent may be that you are blocking the little door that releases the deterget with tall dishes. When you stack the machine hold the door partially open to make sure that you are going to stop the little door opening. I do this on a regular basis when my brain is not functioning.
It is hard to address your other questions without being there. For example, make sure that you don't put thin things like chopsticks in the silverware tray so that they go through the bottom and block the lower spray arm. You can open the door during the cycle to see what is going on inside.
Lastly, the drain pump will change pitch when the machine is empty of water. Could the noise be that? Also the drying fan kicks in at this point.
Hello Heather, I know It is weird they don't have a on and off switch, but when the cycle is done it turns off. Turn it on by starting the cycle. You can stop the cycle by unlatching the latch when it is running. So like if you need it quiet, just open up the dishwasher door a little bit, it will stop. Close the door and it will finish washing.
You could simply open the door at the end of the cycle and let the air do the job. If your dishwasher is controlled by a manual dial, you could open the door, move the timer past the wash cycles stopping on the dry cycle and close the door to start another dry cycle. This option is expensive, by the way.
Hi -
I can't see how any installation problem would cause this - if the dishes are still wet at the end of the cycle, you'll probably find the water isn't heating during the wash cycle. The dishwasher uses steam to heat the washing compartment and dry the dishes. It would appear that the dishwasher isn't heating water internally.
Even if the washer was accidentally connected to the cold water supply ** (see note), this shouldn't happen as regardless of the water supply temperature, the washer should still heat the water to the correct temperature internally.
** UK dishwashers should be connected to the cold water supply. For US installations, dishwashers are commonly connected to the hot water supply. For other locations, please consult your installation instructions.
I suggest you start a regular wash cycle and leave it to run for 10-15 minutes. Then open the door and test the temperature of the water in the base of the washer by hand. The water should be hot and there should be steam present in the washer when you open the door.
If the water is cold or only warm, the water isn't being heated internally or isn't heating to the correct temperature, in which case you should contact the retailer or Bosch Service immediately for a replacement. Do not accept an offer of repair on a brand new washer!
Additionally, do not attempt to repair the dishwasher yourself when under warrantly as this will invalidate the warranty.
Hope this helps. If you need further assistance, please let me know your location and the model number of the washer. This should be laser-etched into the top of the door if you can't find it on any of your paperwork.
Regards,
BElectric
