Try turning the unit off at the mains (remove mains plug from the wall socket if possible) Leave for at least 5 minutes. This will reset all electrical components. Power up and try again. If you can hear the eject mechanism working, then it's likely that this has become faulty which is a common problem.

the eject button is a plastic piece that turns and pushes down on the board and is more then likely broken open the vcr take off the front face plate and check the button, it will propaply fall out. you can use super glue and glue the button back in place
Can't pin down the code for your model, so you will have to try these! Bear in mind that some codes could work some parts of the VCR but not all, so test all:
1004, 1023, 1038, 1175, 1176, 1188, 1190, 1191, 1200, and 1239.
