Corded mice do not need drivers, if you buy a wireless mouse, you will probably need to install drivers coming on the disk boxed with the mouse.

Need to down load drivers for targus mouse. rdgant@aol.com

First thing is that when u insert your mouse in your PC windows will install the required drivers by itself.

But still if u need to download the drivers then see at the back of the cover of your mouse you will get the manufacturers site from where you can download the drivers.

Logitech Mouseman Driver Does Not Automatically Load At Startup

Try troubleshooting your mouse here. You may also need to UPDATE your drivers. Also try changing the USB input. Plug it into a different one.

Hope this helps :)

Just changed the battery in my wireless mouse, simultaneously pressed both connect buttons and the mouse still won't work

Push the button on the receiver first, wait until it starts flashing and then push the button on the mouse. If that doesn't work, go to device manager and scroll down to your mouse and uninstall it, but choose to keep the drivers. Reboot the computer and let it find the hardware and load the drivers for it. If the mouse doesn't work during this, you can use the keyboard for your input commands by using the tab and space bar to move.

HAVE YOU GOT THE DISK THAT CAME WITH THE MOUSE TRY PUTTING IT IN. AND RE LOADING THE MOUSE AND KEYBOARD IF YOU CAN DIRECT YOUR COMPUTER USING THE UP AND DOWN KEYS . GO INTO DEVICE MANAGER AND SEE IF THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE DRIVERS. YOU MAY NEED TO REENSTALL THEM FROM. NEW OR TRY A REBOOT. ITS CONNECTED. TEST ALL CABLES AS WELL. ITS MOUSE AND KEYBOARD DRIVERS YOU NEED. THEY ARE ON DISK USUALLY. TRY WINDOWS DISK TO.

Hi, the problem here is your mouse. You have a bad driver or one wasn't loaded. Most of the time, this is a problem with an "off brand" mouse which will only work if the propriety drivers are loaded. You will need to either load the proper driver or try another mouse. I would try another if someone can lend you one.

Another thing could be that one of the buttons is stuck down on the mouse and when you pass over a link it acts like a double click and launches the site or the program.

Another thing to note: Is this a replacement mouse? Meaning that the original mouse died and this was it's replacement without loading drivers but actually, using the old drivers from the old mouse could cause issues. -Sorry if that sounds confusing-

I had same problem. While I have only recently "fixed" it, I'm not sure how long-term the solution is, yet. From control panel, double-click mouse, select the "Hardware" tab and choose "Properties" button. Select the "Advanced Settings" tab, and lower the "Sample Rate" to 60 reports/second. Mine was set at 100 r/s. I also increased the input buffer to 120 (having no idea of what a normal buffer size might be). Anyway, on reboot, it worked (which is significant progress, since every reboot before, I had to uninstall drivers, remove mouse cord, scan for changes, plug in mouse, then scan for changes again, /sigh). Good luck.
