Question about Hotpoint Aquarius WD63 Front Load Washer/Dryer

1 Answer

Waterb Leak We have noticed a leak from underneath our aquarius washing machine in the last month or so. All the water inlet and out let pipes and drainage are attached correcty. I have pulled the machine out and have run a cycle and it appears the the leak is coming from underneath the right hand side back corner as you are facing the machine. I have yet to look underneath at this area which is the next job. Do you have any suggestions as to what the problem might be or should be or should I just contact the service centre as the machine is still under warranty? Many Thanks Paul

There is water leaking from underneath the machine and also from the inlet pipe. I think its a block somewhere but not sure how to find out

If you take the top off. Screws should be inback. You may notice that the hose going to the drum is torn. This is just one main problem leak with most Haier machines. Part are fairly easy to change out yourself with somebasic tools. You can get a lot of info on their website. haier.com

Water leak on occasion front load washer purchased around 2002/03

You need to remove the kick panel (under the front door). There are two screws at the very bottom of the kick panel, one in each corner.
This will give you visibility to see where the leak is coming from.
On the right hand side is the drain pump. The black hose goes from the pump, out the rear and into your drain pipe. It is secured by a clamp and is one possible source of leak.
If that connection is dry, look underneath the tub where the two parts, front and back of drum, come together. there is an o ring sealing the two sections and this is another source of water leak. (major problem is this is leaking)
Failing this you will just have to trace the source of the leak. You may have to take off the top of the washer to check the water inlet hoses which run on the top of the machine but would still show as a leak under the machine. Good luck.

water can leak from the other valve while filling up if you dont have the hose on it,if you blank the valve off with a nut and tail with a coin and rubber washer in it that will fix your problem.hope this helps.

Sounds like water pressure could be low or inlet pipe is kinked.

F04: possible filling or water level problem. Check water inlet pipe (or shut-off valve), or the outlet pipe, or the pump or pump filter if accessible (check for blockages or foreign objects). Also could be the water valve solenoid weak, causing filling to be too slow.

F05: possible draining (pumping off) problem, check the pump filter, or pump, outlet pipe, or U-BEND.

Leaking washing machine - hotpoint aquarius 1100 - wm63

water leaks are very hard to locate as the water always drips from the bottom, it is just a case of detailed looking, after a while there will be a dry white mark where the water has dried out, this will show where the leak originated from, there are a few things at the front of the machine that it could be, sorry can't help much more nearly all parts can be bought by the public and with common sense and taking very detailed notes where wires came from etc, most jobs can be done by a competent diy person with basic electrical knowledge remember water and electric do not mix always unplug from power supply where working on any appliance
