Question about Dell Precision M60 Notebook
I've got a Dell Precision M60 Laptop which was working fine till now. When I start it up, the screen is blank at first (and it doesn't even enter BIOS POST). Then the whole screen changes to grey, then red, green, black, and keeps cycling. The CURSOR does not show up at any point in time.
If I press the Fn key when I start it up, then the NumLock key is FLASHING, CapsLock is ON and ScrollLock is FLASHING. Again, the CURSOR does not show up at any point in time.
I've already tried removing the 2 memory modules in it and swapping them among the memory bays, using only one at a time in each bay, etc... The modules are fine because I checked them on another laptop.
Occasionally, it happens that when I start it up, the screen is black and the cursor is blinking at the top left but no other activity (does not enter BIOS/POST).
Can you please help me with this strange problem.
Thanks in advance for your time!!
Try running diagnostics. Tap F12 repeatedly on the dell logo till you get the boot device menu. Choose diagnostics. Go through it.
If it doesnt even pull up the diagnostics, you can follow this walkthrough from dell's website.
