Wireless problem Just did a restore with factory frestore discs. Before restore had no probllems connecting to the wireless in home....now can not do....What would I look for as a wireless card? I am thinking a driver is missing or that at one time someone put a different one in...I am really at a loss.I did use another usb connector that have in house to go update windows, etc etc...since restore discs have outdated things?

I just used recovery disk to restore back to factory setting for acer aspire 7741Z. Now it won't recognize my wireless router

To connectyour computer to a wireless router, you click the Refresh networklist, then Choose your wireless network and then click Connectto your secured Wireless Network, it will asks for a Network Keybefore allowing you to connect into your wireless network. This NetworkKey is either the WEP, or WPA or WPA2 Encryption key that is used toconfigure the Wireless Router. The Passphrase is an alternate way tosetup the Encryption key.
When you are requested for a Network Key, you can just enter the Passphrasethat was used to configure the Encryption key in the wireless router.http://www.fixya.com/support/r5270415-network_password_network_addressFor information on securing your wireless network, configuring the wireless router and configuring the wireless card in thelaptop/computer, please click on this link and follow my instructions :-http://www.fixya.com/support/r3559128-wireless_router_security

How to restore hp pavilion dv4000 to factory settings

The way to restore most PCs to factory settings is to reinstall Windows. First, MAKE SURE you have the Windows disc that came with your computer and the drivers/utilities disc that came with it.

To start restoring, put the Windows disc in that came with your computer, and run it. Find the option to install/reinstall Windows, and select it (you may have to boot from the disc, which can be done by changing the boot order in BIOS settings). Follow the instructions Windows Setup gives you.

After you're done with that, don't freak out if the sound, wireless, touchpad, etc. isn't working. Insert the drivers/utilities disc now and install all the drivers that are on it onto your laptop.

You are now done with the restore process!

Hi, i have a laptop sony vgn-n365e. it has wireless hardware, but the software doesnt work, its adapter is LAN-Express AS IEEE 802.11g PCI-E Adapter. i have downloaded the last version of it from the sony...

You can find the driver from the CD came with the laptop. That should be the driver for the specific wireless adapter and tested on your computer. In device manager, you can right click on that ! sign and choose update driver from the pop up menu and specify the driver file from your Disc. Or you can back up your data and perform a system restore (or factory default restore) to get the original settings back. You can check the manual of your laptop to see how to perform a system restore or factory default restore.

Wireless Connection for Notebook

One way or another you will have to download the drivers or get a factory install disc. Once its downloaded, put it on a flash drive or burn it.

Those are really your only options.

Wireless internet is not working after restoring factory settings

Oh, wireless Internet? You restored it? Did you install a different operating system? Or had you installed one before resetting? A change of OS may result in the deletion of particular drivers.

Go to the manufacturer's website. There, search for your model's support and download the drivers you want, for instance, the wireless network adapter drivers. Also, check your sound.

Wireless network connections

If your laptop came with a "System Restore" disc, back up all your data first, then boot off the System Restore disc. That will return the laptop to the state that you initially received it in.

THE RESTORE PROCESS WILL WIPE OUT ALL YOUR DATA - so make sure you copy anything you want to keep to a USB stick, another computer, a thumb drive, or somewhere other than on your laptop.

Wireless connection

If this laptop has a wireless switch, make sure it's on.
Did you get the wireless hub?
Wireless is controlled by the wireless zero service, which should turn on automatically when your adapter is detected.
You can turn it on manually in Control Panel/Admin Tools/Services
