Samsung password reset

If you are using Windows OS; go to control panel select user accounts. Choose your account and click change password. Make sure you put a hint in for lost password, write it down or something. Forgetting it can be a headache. Hopefully you have an administrator's account and your account. If you forget the administrator account can still get in. Good Luck.

How to log on to the computer by using a password reset disk
If you forget your password, you can log on to the computer by using a new password that you create by using the Password Reset Wizard and your password reset disk. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. On the Windows XP logon screen, click the user name that you want to use. The Type your password box appears. Press ENTER or click the right-arrow button. You receive the following error message: Did you forget your password?
You can click the "?" button to see your password hint.
Or you can use your password reset disk.

    Please type your password again.
Be sure to use the correct uppercase and lowercase letters.
  2. Click use your password reset disk. The Password Reset Wizard starts. The Password Reset Wizard permits you to create a new password for your user account.
  3. Click Next.

  8. Click Next, and then click Finish. The Password Reset Wizard quits, and you return to the Windows XP logon screen.

Note The password reset disk is automatically updated with the new password information. You do not have to create a new password reset disk.
  9. Type your new password in the Type your password box, and then click the right-arrow button to log on to the computer.
Troubleshooting
  • The password reset disk cannot be used to reset the password on another computer.

The password reset disk that you create can only be used with the computer it was created on. For example, if you have two Windows XP-based computers that have the same user names and passwords, a password reset disk that you create on the first computer cannot be used to reset the password on the second computer.
  • The password reset disk contains sensitive information.

Other users may be able to use the password reset disk to gain access to your computer. For this reason, store this disk in a safe and secure location.

Create Windows XP Password Reset Disk

Did you forget your Windows XP User password? You can click the "?" button to see your password hint.Or you can use your password reset disk. This article describes how to create a password reset disk for a computer that is not a member of a domain in Microsoft Windows XP.(that is part of a workgroup, or that is not connected to a network.)

What is the Windows XP Password Reset Disk?Do you need to enter a password when booting into Windows XP Pro? Afraid you might forget this password down the road and not be able to run your PC? Make a password reset disk to protect against a lost password.

Note: You may want to know how to create a user login password to protect xp.

To protect user accounts in the event that the user forgets the password, every local user should make a password reset disk and keep it in a safe place. Then, if the user forgets his or her password, the password can be reset using the password reset disk and the user is able to access the local user account again.

The Forgotten Password Wizard lets you create a XP password reset disk that you can use to recover your user account and personalized computer settings if you forget your password.

How to create a XP password reset diskTo create a password reset disk for your local user account, use the following method.

RequirementsThe following methods require a floppy disk drive and a blank floppy disk. As we all know, the floppy disk is easily damagedand it is out of date. In this demonstration, I will use a blank USB Fash Disk instead of floppy disk. Firstly make sure it is connected with your computer.

1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.

2. In Control Panel, click User Accounts.
Note: If you're viewing the Classic View of Control Panel, double-click on the User Accounts icon.

3. In the User Accounts pane, click the account that you want to work with. Here I will click my account name "Andy".

4. Under the Related Tasks left side options, click Prevent a forgotten password to start the Forgotten Password Wizard, and then click Next.

5. In the drop-down menu, there are 2 options for us to choose. One is Floppy A, another is WPKEY (It is the name of my USB Flash Drive). Select the WPKEY and then click Next.

6. In the Current User Account Password box, type Andy's password , and then click Next. The Forgotten Password Wizard will start creating the disk.
Note: If the user account does not have a password, just leave it blank in the Current user account password box.

7. When the progress indicator shows 100% complete, click Next and then click Finish in the next window.

The password reset disk contains only one file called userkey.psw, which is an encrypted version of your password.

Finally Label the disk "Windows XP Password Reset" and store it in a safe place. You can use the password reset disk to gain access to your Windows XP-based computer if you forget your password.

Tips:
1.
You only need to create a password reset disk for your Windows XP logon password once. No matter how many times you change your password, this disk will always allow you to create a new one.

2. Keep in mind that anyone who possesses this disk will be able to access your account at any time, even if you change your password. You'd better store it in a safe place.

3. Not a Windows XP user? See the guides for other Windows versions.

I have vista basic & need to add a password but dont know how

To put a log in password on your Vista account you have to go Start, Control Panel and then User Accounts. Click on Create a password for your account link in Make changes to your user account area. Enter the password you would like for your account and confirm it by entering the same password again. You can close User Accounts and Control Panel. Upon restart you will have to enter this password every time you log in so make sure you don't forget it.

Wrong administrators password

Don't worry, The first thing whichyou check if you forget login password. When we install Windows, itautomatically creates an account "Administrator" and sets its password toblank. So if you have forget your user account password then try this:
Start system and when you see Windows Welcome screen /Login screen, press ctrl+alt+del keys twice and it'll show Classic Login box.Now type "Administrator" (without quotes) in Username and leave Password fieldblank. Now press Enter and you should be able to log in Windows.
Now you can reset your account password from "ControlPanel -> User Accounts".
Same thing can be done using Safe Mode. In Safe ModeWindows will show this in-built Administrator account in Login screen.

Or you can use the third party password reset software like Windows Password Recovery Basic
