Rotate the starter pulley by hand. You should feel the spring getting tight. Once the pulley is slightly tensioned, usually 5-10 turns, release the pulley and let is pull the string onto the pulley. You may have to add some tension to get all the rope to wind on the pulley.

Restring a pgt300 performance power strimmer, it has a white casing which does not come off preventing me from adding more line

There should be 2 plastic tabs which you have to push in, this removes the wider outer base cover of the strimmer spool, giving you access to the bump cap and line spool.

Depending on the style you have, one looks to be a whole replaceable spool unit, one looks like a re-threadable spool.

Hoe does the automatic line feed work on a line trimer

Richard the auto line feed works by bumping the head when the strimmer is running. If it's wound right the line comes out when you tap the head on the ground when on full running.

Spear & Jackson 33cc Petrol Grass Strimmer SGT33N, black fuel pipe split. How to replace it?

empty the petrol, feed the black line (the fuel intake) into the tank and grab the end of it thats attached to the filter inside the tank. now you can feed a new fuel line through into the tank and reattach to the filter. hopefully this will solve your problem ive just done this but mine still wont start, either flooded or spark plug. by the way i bought mine new and the fuel line was split.

Ryobi RPT 254c strimmer, how do I wind the line so I stop losing the line

You are winding the line on the spool in the wrong direction. The line should be wound on in the opposite direction of the way that the head spins during operation.

Hi I recently bought a Ryobi RLT26CDS. Every time the thread needs extending I have to undo all the gadget and manually pull and extend the thread. could you please tell me how I could extend the thread...

'Bump' the strimmer line unit on the ground (this is how it releases the line)-It sometimes gets stuck(welded to the sides if the release chamber-it gets hot and melts)-
hope this helps

Threading line on black & decker GL301 strimmer

Do you mean that the string keeps feeding as you try to operate the trimmer?

If so, you are winding the string on the spool the wrong way. Put the string on the spool in a clockwise direction. This should do it.
