Question about Pentax Optio 50 Digital Camera
My camera was working great and all of a sudden it wont ever turn on at all, im tryed alont of things. like gettting new rechargeable batterys. i got a new memery card. i even try plugging in to the computer but nothing seems to work. what do i do?????
Very good move to switch to rechargeable batteries, this camera swallow expensive regular batteries in a very short period of time.
Your camera is not receiving the energy from the batteries. Connecting it to the computer does not make any change as power is required from the batteries to communicate with the computer.
The problem with your camera could be a simple issue or a really bad condition.
I the first case, if you are able to open it, look for the connectors to the batteries. There could be a missing connection (may require some simple soldering). Check voltage and continuity with a voltmeter.
If there int any problem there, then you have a mayor issue in your camera and requires for you to decide from have it repaired at a camera shop, or on the other hand, to replace the camera.
