If you try turning up the screen adjustment first. If that does not clear it up you may have some board level faults on board A/video out and on board C/demux.

After pulling the right info sheet this time It is indicating the bulb's high voltage supply. You might pull the bulb and check the terminals and the sockets for corrosions and clean them up and retry the bulb. If the code remains, then the things to check are board level:
Connection CN6501 on "G" board should see 400 volts, that will be your power supply output.
Also Check Board FB1A the component IC4001 for function.

The 5 blinks is indicating the lamp ballast needs replacement your model uses the Sony lamp Ballast 147401211 for sony models KDF42E2000, KDS-50A2000, KDS-50A2010, KDS-55A200, KDS-60A2000, KDS-60A2010, & KDS-60XBR2 amd LDS-R60XBR2

Sounds like a problem with the power supply. After it shuts off do any other lights blink, apart from power LED turning red? Please provide this info as it is a self-diagnostic code that will help identify the problem.

It sounds like the lamp has failed. It is advisable to use a genuine Sony lamp. The part number for is XL-5200. It will cost around 180.00. That should fix you problem. If you cannot find the lamp local to you can order it form Sony at.

Lamp in tv is dead and need to be replaced to get tv back in action.
Lamp replacement procedure is easy and would be written in user manual.
Please buy Sony original lamp to get bright picture in tv.

It's clicking when I turn the power button on and doesn't show a picture just a blank screen and the red light just blinks.

Power supply board it dead.Replaced the power supply board will solved this problems.Tries Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

TV doesn't turn on

If it does not give a picture at all not even for a moment, i would suspect a bad power supply, the circuit has quite a few components and either one of those could be giving you trouble.
