Hello,I'm presuming that your setting the headset up to mate correctly. Start by setting you phone up to mate to the headset as it's set out in your owners manual. Now you have to set the headset up for mating. Hold the answer button on the headset down until the blue light glows blue steadily,Now you have your phone look for the device. It with then ask for the code ...most use 0000 enter the number and press yes or enter... depending on your phone. This should correct the problem. It took me awhile to figure this out as Motorola's instructions are somewhat vague.

How do i place a h555 motorola bluetooyh in pairing mode

Step A - ENSURE HEADSET IS IN PAIRING
MODE
Power on headset by sliding the Call button
towards the microphone to initiate easy
pairing. After a few moments, the indicator
light will be steadily lit in blue to indicate
headset is in pairing mode.
Step B - SET YOUR PHONE TO LOOK FOR
YOUR HEADSET
On your Motorola phone, press (Menu) >
Settings > Connection > Bluetooth Link >
Handsfree > Look for Devices.
The phone lists Bluetooth devices it finds.
Select Motorola H555.
Select OK or Yes to pair your headset with
your phone.
Enter the passkey: 0000
Select OK.
When your headset successfully pairs and
connects with your phone, the indicator light
changes from steadily lit to flashing blue.

Troubleshooting: Make sure that any devices previously pairedwith the headset are turned off. If the indicator
light is not steadily lit in blue, turn off both the
other device and headset, wait 10 seconds,
then turn headset back on. Wait for the indicator
light to become steadily lit in blue, indicating
the headset is now in pairing mode.

Back to the phone, you want to hit "add new device". On certain models of phone you additionally have to select "search for devices". Your phone will recognize any headsets in pairing mode. When it is finished scanning, allow the phone to add your headset. It will ask you for the device pin code. This pin code will be 0000.

This will vary depending on the model of your phone. First off, you need to ensure that you are using a bluetooth enabled phone.

On your bluetooth headset, hold down the power button down until the power light stays lit. This may take 5 seconds or more. Now your bluetooth is in pairing mode.

You will need to enter the settings and tools menu. From within that menu, you need to find either "connections" or "bluetooth" and select. Make sure bluetooth is enabled. There will be an option to add a new device.
