Prescario v6000 mute buttons and sound button dont work

it's muted in youtube, usually click the icon with the cross, or on the tab of the browser next to the close button if there's a mute icon there. if that does not work, close all your browser tabs and reopen youtube. Also try with another browser, Firefox or Chrome.

what OS, what operating system.
KVM are very unreliable. , we could talk KVM for days, on this.

we can not guess what OS you are running, at all.

its a USB problem with the KVM.
V6000 is a 2006 product..
that came with XP or VISA, neither are supported now.
the V6000 must have all its HP drivers installed to work right.
no KVM is guaranteed to work here, with XP its real bad.
XP has bad USB drivers, that are infamous for not working
with odd USB devices, nor many other things,
got SP3 for XP, IF XP>? it fixes some of that be never all.

this is a V6000 to KVM USB issue.
and no OS stated at all.

Sound like your drivers might have gone away reload driver if you have them if not and key board is over 3 years old you probably need new key board

try repair before you coz more damage

common issues with no notebook sound are volume physical switch turned down. mute sometimes checked off under the speaker by the clock some laptops have a Fn button that corresponds with keys either on the numbers or F keys above. look for anything that would work with a Function key combination (often in a blue color) printed on the keys themselves. another common issue is , in the control panel under sound /sound properties people sometimes tick of the "Digital output only" which effectively mutes the speakers. one last thing. sometimes on laptops volume settings dont look like buttons , but are responsive to touch. look for a volume slider image and play with that too. hope that helps, cheers.

It is usually a driver or software problem try getting new drivers for the quick touch buttons or whatever you system making calls them, I have volunme and wifi buttons that light up on my hp and i am triple booting mac osx. windows 7 and fedora and my buttons do not light up when i am loaded into OSX

Usually when the volume button is pink(orangey) it means that the volume has been muted. Make sure both on the quick play bar right of the power button and in the task bar, that the volume has not been set to mute. Also check the audio drivers and make sure the drivers haven't been corrupt and reinstall or re-download new updated drivers in needed.

If you dont have any control on Quick launch buttons to turn on Volume, update Quick launchdriver. If that does not fix the issue, if you have to replace Speakers on the laptop

goto google enter "compact presario drivers" click on link to HP Support and drivers. once there, enter your product name/number. it should show you a list of all drivers available for your model. download your audio driver and reload it to your laptop. sometimes drivers get currupt and dont work right. hope this helps...good luck

put your mic on mute for playback. So the mic works but it doesnt play it from the speakers at the same time.



If you dont see microphone on the list click on
options then settings
put a X on the playback -> microphone.

close settings

its now shown in the panel, click on mute and it wont feedback the sounds to you anymore.
