Hello,

Besure that the cd inserted is readable by your CD rom.

You can open your windows media player.
click file menu,
then click open. browse your CD drive and select all the musics files and then click ok.

click play.

If this not resolve then verify if your computer has a speaker, not mute the volume control. or the device controller is installed properly. (the audio driver)

may this help,

My CD/DVD drive is not reading Rosetta Stone - Espanol Edition. It stars and spins, but then stops. OS: Vista SP2 Disk Drive: Unknown RAM: 3 GB - DDR2

Try playing a music CD to see if it works. Then try playing a DVD ( a DVD movie ) and see if that works. If the CD works and the DVD doesn't then your CD/DVD drive is probably the problem and needs to be replaced.

My PC doesn't produce sound from any file or program on internet, for example when I download Winamp media play it doesnt produce sound but you can see that the music is playing

First check you dont have a red line through your speaker on your toolbar. If so click it and "UN-mute it.

Open volume control.

When the box with all the sliders opens up click on OPTIONS (top left)
Click PROERTIES

Make sure that Volume controls, Wave, SW Synth, CD PLayer, Line IN, and MIC all show on there and that the volume sliders are about half way up.

Make sure noe of the sliders have ticks at the bottom, if so UNTICK them.

If any of those are missing click options then properties from the top left and put a tick besides any that were missing (nothing else unles you know you want that item)

Now close the slider box.

Put a normal music cd in your cd/dvd player on the computer and set it to play with windows media player.

You should now have sound out of the speakers.

What file format should be used on the CD-r to contain music with video & will play on product player?

If you are going to be playing it in a PC, then you don't have to change the format unless you want to compress the files. The CD-R will be used as a storage disk, basically. You may have certain problems playing some files on a home or car stereo. Some home audio units have MPEG and AVI playback capabilities though.
