Ok what you have done is blown the fuse make sure you replace it and always when you hook up a stereo disconnect the negative battery terminal so that way there is no power running to it

I have a 1991 chevy 1500 and am hooking up stereo system. But there are some wirtes loose that I dont know their place. For instance, the yellow and black one

The yellow wire from the truck attaches to the red wire of the stereo. The black wire goes to the black wire. If the truck doesn't have a black wire, connect the black wire from the stereo to a bolt on the frame of the dash. The orange wire from the truck goes to the yellow wire of the stereo. Please let me know if you have more questions.

Radio wiring code for 1987 mercedes benz 300. With aftermarket radio the windows switch ligths blinks and have no instrument ligths.

Hi, the aftermarket stereo does not use the illumination wire. You must tape that wire off (purple/gray). That wire is either connected to the wrong place or is touching chassis ground and causing your instrument lights to dim.
Connect the stereo's red wire to the car's black/yellow wire; and connect the stereo's yellow wire to the car's red/white wire.

What color wire is the power to the pump is it red /pink or yellow

Power to which pump? What type and year of vehicle? In most cases you can use a multimeter to locate this and a thumb tack. Push the thumb tack into the wire to puncture the insulation and then touch that with the positive test wire while you touch the car frame with the negative. The ignition will need to be on for this test.

No sound from car stereo

it sounds like some sort of overload causing the stereo to switch off to stop damage. Have you checked that you have the correct amp fuse installed in your fusebox?. Is there an in-line fuse on the live feed wire of the stereo? I suspect either too much power is going to it or that the unit itself has developed a fault.

with the ignition in the "off" position get a test light and touch one wire at a time while cycling the ignition switch to the "on" position, When you see that the test light goes off when the ignition switch is in the off position then you found the hot wire, make sure you dont hook it up to the "alway hot " wire or you might drain the battery hope this helps.
