EMachines T6534 motherboard replacement

What would be a good MB to replace the one on my fried eMachines T6534? I have never done a MB swap and it is time I learn. I am pretty knowledge less about MBs and am not looking to spend much.

Here is a link to the system stats. http://www.emachines.com/support/product_support.html?cat=Desktops&subcat=T%20Series&model=T6534

It would be running Win xp and I would like to use the eMachines junk I have laying around. IDE interfaces, AMD Athlon 3700 processor and would prefer 4 Ram slots capable of at least 2 gig.

I do not know Form Factor. eMachines calls this a mini tower but that link does not have that option only the ATX variants.

Hello,

motherboard replacement is depending on your current processor, memory, and video card:

Verify this site for your processor and motherboard matching.

Yea, Only you have to do is to find the match motherboard to your processor and memory.. If you can find the the match MB with your existing processor then you can replace it directly.

However if you want an identical motherboard with your emachines then maybe emachines company can provide you. but i doubt.

its only a replacement board will work to your problems

THe Emachines T6534 is not recognizing the monitor i have plugged in, thoguh the monitor is also emachines and i'm pretty sure it came with the computer

The problem could be with your Graphics card.

1) Try the monitor on another PC, is it good? If yes
2) Try removing and re-seating the graphics card.
3) If on board graphics and so no graphics card, try a PCI graphics card in one of the spare slots

Computer powers on, but does not boot on an emachines t3624. replaced the power supply

If the fans come on and BIOS does not post (initial screen upon power up), you likely have a mainboard or CPU issue. If a chip fan failed, or your box overheated, your CPU could be fried. Or possibly something on your motherboard got taken out due to lightning, a faulty power supply, etc. If this is the case, you're in bad shape as you're probably dead in the water and need a new MB/CPU.

If you are hearing any beeps upon power up, another hardware device such as memory or a video card (even a defective drive) could be the culprit. If you can try swapping out components to find the one that's causing the failure, and replace that component.

E Machine T6534 fails every 6 to 9 months

This could be caused by the processor or fan,But very unlikely to be the mother board.

Motherboard failures. 4 times in 2+ years.

in my opinion e-machines are the bottom of the barrel and if they were giving them away I would have to pass, because they use the absolute lowest cost per unit parts = lowest quality parts in most cases... that is my opinion and not fact, sell it to someone and always buy the best quality you afford it almost always gives you more enjoyment for a longer period of time. Cheers!

The computer started to act strange after adding (2) 1024 mb ram

geekjuan

Thanks for the idea, we took everything out and started the computer after adding each piece back we found that one of the new ram cards caused a lot of problems. I have taken it out and am going to call tiger direct to see about a replacement. We also have a couple of error messages now and I was wondering if anyone knows what theyt are, One is pcst.Tray.EXE is missing and the Second is BigFix has caused a runtime error, both are saying that they need to be reinstalled. Do you have any advice on these.

EMachines Imperial GL VE-20021218 Motherboard Pin Out

Normally on the board there is silk printing to state what connection goes where. Also on the black connector i.e. power LED there is a small arrow that goes to pin 1 of the POWER LED pins.

Hope that was any help thanks J
