Why does my sharp cd-dvd500 shut off when too loud? How do i fix this?

Hi, you like your sound loud like I do-to prevent the stereo from shutting off simply turn the " BASS " control down a little- 1/3 to 1/2 of full should do the trick, write back to let me know if this helped, good luck and thanks for asking FixYa-Prodzilla.

With a disc in the drive press SETUP whilst holding down the SHIFT.

UP or DOWN to PARENTAL SETUP and press ENTER

Using 0 - 9 Buttons eenter the 4 Digit Password ( - - - - changes to * * * * )

You have 3 attempts to enter the password ( Default Set at 0000)

LEFT and RIGHT to change parental level

DOWN to select CODE and the LEFT and RIGHT to select the desired Country Code

Eject disk

If your cd is stuck in the Bose you may have to open up the cover any manually remove this disk, make sure not to put it back in. If you are unable to remove this yourself you will need to get some one qualified to do this procedure for you. Be careful not to break anything take your time and put everything back as you took it apart.

I recieve an error code c 31 00 in my system. what do i do?

There's so much information missing from this question, but assuming this is a DVD changer, it's a disc error. Either the disc is upside-down or backwards and can't be read, is too dirty/scratched or unsupported and can't be read, or the entire mechanism is jammed or malfunctioning. If there are discs in the tray and you can remove them all, remove them and see if the error goes away. If the tray will not open, either take the cover off and remove the discs, or bring it to a service center.

DAV-HDX265 dvd tray doesnt open

well, if you hearing clicks is possible that you will only be able to fix by opening and looking if the door has been misplaced..... is possible that a cd is stuck and you need to open to fix.....
...
...
another way to fix is to press and hold Eject and Stop ON THE UNIT! while turning the nub to the right (volume up)
that will open the the service unlocking the system!!!!! THAT WILL ONLY WORK if the door or a cd is NOT stuck on it

Unable to eject CD's/DVD's

Dear blxriverrat,
Optical Lens of Home Theater got stuck and its sled-mechanism doesn't move, thats why you see message "please wait" If you can handle this system then open its top cover, open plastic cover on CD mechanism and push the Optical Lens inward-outward 2-3 times carefully. No need to say, 1st unplug your theater system from A/C outlet before opening top cover.

Dvd error code 31 00 (not 13 00)

About the dvd error code C 31 00. I just found out and fixed the problem. You must open the top of the machine and move the white moving finger that picks the dvd/cd slot back into its origional place. Via a slot on the left side of the cd compartment about an inch in. The it will then properly pick the dvd/cd that you wish. You must also open each dvd/cd drive again so that your machine will know there is something in it. YOU ARE WELCOME
