Question about Audio Players & Recorders
If you aren't using Windows (e.g. you are a Mac or Linux user), or if aviconverter won't work for you, you can encode the videos yourself using the same software that underpins aviconverter. The software is mencoder (part of Mplayer package at http://www.mplayerhq.hu) and the parameters are available at http://www.sprocketandlube.com/shownews/item/67 - unfortunately you have to use the "Dos prompt". The chipset is Rockchip.

Does anyone know the name of the manufacturer, or what chipset it uses? and what firmware could be compatible to replace the dse branded firmware in the DSE Neuron a3847?

The computer thinks the neuron is a disk drive without a disk. just wait a bit longer and close the pop up windows and you should notice you get access to it shortly after.
