Trigger switch does not switch off mother when releaset the motor is still trying to run.

I'm assuming you are saying the motor brake is not working? Does the motor shut off just take a long time to wind down, or does it not shut off?
If the brake is not working the 2 most common issues are:
1) Worn brushes
2) Bad switch
The field can also be a culprit, but is less common.
If the motor just doesn't shut off your problem is the switch.

Erratic starting circular saw

Sounds to me like you have a bad cord. Clamp the saw to a workbench so that it can start and run safely without you having to hold it. Put tape or a wire tie around the trigger to hold it in. THEN plug it in. Then move the cord around, especially near where it enters the saw. If the saw starts and stops intermittently you have confirmed the bad cord. Good luck.

Makita LS 1212F brake

The brake on these saws is a controlled by the switch; it allows power to only one side of the field when you release the switch thus pulling the motor to a stop. In order to get your brake working again you have to replace the switch with Makita part number 651923-1, Switch TG70B. You can put in a generic switch that fits but the blade will spin slowly to a stop every time you release the switch, which you may have now.

Blade continues to spin after turn off

I don't know the make or model of your saw but the blade brake on circular saws is controlled by the power switch. If your saw previously did brake the blade rotation, you need a new switch to make it work again. Also a generic switch will not do, you have to have the brake switch made for your saw or it will do the same thing.

Delta 36-075 miter saw. Motor ok, but blade will not spin

It sounds as though one or both of the items are stripped. They mesh to drive the blade so I would not take a chance on just replacing just one. Also when you look at this you might also want to look at replacing the bearings and brushes. Make sure you clean out the gear housing or you will have immediate problems again. Also check where you buy these parts for their recommendation on the grease that needs to be used.

Makita LS1013 chop saw just started making a bad bearing noise and the elecric brake is not kicking in after the trigger is released.

You will have to check if it is a bearing going and the electric brake may not be getting any power to it now or it could be sticking.
