Hate to tell you this but if you didn't mix oil with the gas properly (most likely a 40:1 ratio) then the chain saw will seize up and won't work again.
you need to take the carburator off and clean it as well as the fuel tank,to start, maybe even a spark plug as well.always use a gas stable additive when you store it,better yet try to get in the habbit of running it once a month
Sounds like your update went didn't work right. This could have been caused by a corrupted update file that Vista tried to install or you might have a hardware problem (i.e.bad hard drive). Try running the Dell diagnostics.
Do you have any CD's thatcame with your computer? If so, look for one that has "Diagnostics and utilities"listed under the "Contents". You will have to boot from that CD disk. To dothis, power on your laptop and tap the key to bring you to the "Onetime boot menu". Insert the CD and then select CD/DVD drive and hit key. Select the "Run the32 Bit Dell Diagnostics". Next select the "Express Test" and see if any errorsare detected. If no errors are reported, then your operating system software isprobably the culprit.
Try to put your laptop always on flat surface. Uneven base gives angle to the already tiny clearance space for the disc. Could be that the DVD disc run coz its finer, it will spin much slower than CD disc.
