H-3 error code in a Sharp ARC260m

I have a copier with an H-3 code, I've cleaned out the fuser and reset the thermostat, but I can't get the sequence of buttons to get me into the service mode. I worked on older Sharp models but they have a different sequence of buttons to get to service mode. If someone could help me I could get to Sim 14 and see if the fuser is okay. Thanks for any help you could give.

Thanks for the lead, I went there and found the reset code and eventually got it going again. It turns out on this model, it wouldn't let me get into the service mode unless the fusing unit was slid out.

The analog Sharp copiers used the crop code (clear, repeat, zero, pause).  Once the digital models came out the rules changed.  Sim 14 was for the analog copiers as well.
A good resource to get the answers you need is copytechnet.com.  They have Sharp copier technicians on there who can help you with the problem.  Unfortunately I only work on the low end Sharp models (for their product line).  The service codes are different on that machine. Copytechnet is a free service and they only deal with copiers.

I've never heard of that trick before.  Interesting.

DP 2500 displaying E04-01

You have a failure in the Fusing Unit:
E4- 01 Fuser warm-up temperature
1. Fuser Thermistor is dirty.
2. Thermistor position is incorrect.
3. Fuser temperature is low.
4. Thermistor is defective.
5. Fuser Lamp connector is disconnected.
6. Fuser Thermostat is defective.
7. Fuser Lamp is defective.
8. HTC PCB connector (CN716) is disconnected
You can try resetting the error by using this key sequence:
enter simulation mode by pressing keys ''Function + Original Size + 3 ''
go to f9 mode ,06 (ram initialize ) sub code 04 to reset fuser error.
If the code comes back you will need a service technician to diagnose which part is bad.

Sharp Copier AR -407 Error code H3-00

H3-00 means there was a problem in the fuser unit of the copier - a temperature problem. The correct temperature is not reached within a certain time.
It could be a thermostat or thermistor problem - both monitor temperature. you could remove the fuser unit and make sure these items are clean - no build up on them. there should be a center and side thermistor.
You can reset the error code in SIM mode by pressing the following keys one after the other "P" "interupt" "C" "interupt" then 14 and start/copy key. confirm if required. make sure the copier is restarted afterwards.
If the error persists then you may need new thermistors.
Hope this helps.

Code h4-01 on sharp ar407 had stuck sheet of paper cleared and still have the code.

H4 means the copier (fuser) does not reach a specified temperature within a given time frame.
This means one or more of several things. A bad or dirty thermistor or thermostat (most likely) or a bad heater lamp or a bad control board or AC supply.
The first thing to do is reset the error and see if it comes back. To do this enter service mode by pressing the following keys one after the other (make sure you are in copy mode) "P" "interupt" "C" "interupt" then enter 14 and "start" then enter "1" "start" and accept the reset. Restart the copier. (DONT play around with any other codes)
If problem persists then you may need to remove the fuser unit and take it apart in order to inspect/clean the thermistors and maybe reset/replace the thermostat.

Error h200

Hi,

H2 indicates there is a fuser error.

Try resetting it by the pressing the following buttons on the display in sequence,

#, interrupt, Clear, interrupt,

display should go dead,

enter 14,

then press print, This will clear the error code

press CA to get out and return to normal.

However if there is still a problem with the fuser, the code will return. Then you may need to have a tech look at what is the problem.

Hope that helps...

H2 or 2H is related to a fuser under heat or overheat.
Try this first,

Performing a Fault Reset 14 will reset your WorkCentre and will help to clear error codes.
  1. Find the pink Clear button on the Control Panel of the WorkCentre.
  2. Find the button below the word Auto.
  3. Press these buttons in the following sequence: [Clear], [Auto], [Clear], [Auto] NOTE: All of the lights on the Control Panel should go out and the LED Display should go blank. If the lights do not go out, then repeat step 3 until they do. It may be necessary to increase or decrease the pace of the [Clear], [Auto], [Clear], [Auto] sequence.
  4. Press the [10's] key one time and the [1's] key four times to enter '14' in the LED Display, as if you were to make 14 copies.
  5. Press the green [Start] button.
  6. Press the pink [Clear] button two times.
  7. The WorkCentre should now warm up and come to ready.
  8. If the above steps do not clear the error code, repeat steps 3 to 6 a second time.
If this does not clear the problem the fuser will need replaced.
