Sounds like a chip not keeping memory after saved setting, will need testing to determine , but try unplugging it for a while then see if it still does it

Have an lg50ln5600 TV and it will not turn on, there is power but no picture or sound

If you have power with a green light then I would suggest that you are on the wrong input for where you have it plugged in. Use your remote while everything is on and press INPUT/SOURCE until you are on the right input.

Sony 40 lcd t.v no iture no sound, but the power coms on, I have done the usuall, but it still is he sane I hear he relay clicking when I turn it on and of,.

I would encourage you to call Sony if it is under warranty. If it is old, the power supply might be bad, or the picture may have been turned dark. Try using the controls to make the picture lighter or brighter to see if it becomes visible. See if the remote control INPUT button causes any response, you may have accidentally selected an input that has nothing connected, press INPUT until TV is selected.

Olevia 242 TV.... No picture or sound!!!

A blue screen usually is present if no signal is connected to the set---hook a DVD up to one of the rear inputs--select that input and see if have picture and sound.

If that works connect cable or antenna to set and select that input

NO signal is like no gas in car---it will not run.

Vizio vx42l hdtv back light

If backlight went out then sound should still work. Are there any indicator lights to show power is coming on anymore? Try unplugging for 30 seconds, hit power button a few times, then plug back in and try to turn on. This drains any capacitors of power to attempt to reset (basically clearing the TV's throat).

Can also try something on a different input. If current input is composite, S-video, or component, try using DVI or HDMI connection as this uses a different board in the TV. If that fixes it, then at least you can try to replace one board instead of entire tv. :)

No pictur or sound p50hdm

Do you have an amber pilot light? If yes power supply is working.

If amber light turns green when power button is pressed then set is turning on. If not then you problem is most likely on the main board, the panel that has all the inputs on it.

Is the monitor set to an input with audio Set defaults to AV1 input when power is removed. The most common problem with this set is sound ok no picture. This is a display problem usually Y or Z sus boards.

If it is truly no sound and no pix then the problem is in ether the power supply or the main board.

No picture or sound

Hi there

Try replacing the electrolytic capacitors in the power supply section. I started with replacing (2) 860uf 180v caps just after the bridge rectifier and continued along the circuit. Some (15) or so capacitors later, it fixed the intermediate problem of no video, when turning on the power.

Here is a picture of what they look like:

Thank you for using FixYa. Have a nice day and please remember to rate this solution as fbe0a70.png if it helps you.

If you have anymore problems please ask me!

Thanks

TV screen goes blank but power stays on

Sounds like the CRTs are going into protective blanking due to the vertical output ic needing to be resolderd. Try resoldering the vertical IC that may possibly fix the issue.
