Printer carrier stall

Just put in both ink cartidges and get check printer for obstructions message. It prints about 50% of page

    I am getting a "Printer Carrier Stall" message and "Check printer for obstruction" message. what can I do to fix it?

Does anyone know how to fix a dell all in one 966 printer that keeps displaying check inside the printer for obstruction the press check? I do this and it comes up rt. cartridge error

Lexmark all-in-one has error message for cartridge stall.


there maybe stuck little paper or something inside the device or maybe the cartidge is broken or the holder of the cartidge i think an expert should see it .. it must be seen and heared to solve it and try to clean it from inside

False ink empty


Are you sure its exclamation mark?..
This warning message related to print head. (warn out). When you are replacing ink tube assembly use dummy print heads to do the priming (new ink tubes are empty & they have to fill with ink)..
Action: Remove all cartridges and print heads, switch on the printer follow the screen message.(Insert cartridges first next dummy print heads).once its recognizes cartridges then it switch over to print heads,insert dummy print heads. Once printer recognized the dummy print heads, printer will perform priming, during priming dummy print heads will filled with respective inks.(follow the display message)Remove dummy print heads & insert normal print heads. Wait till printer recognizes print heads, load the paper & wait till performs the calibration, once calibration is successfully done issue closed.
If calibration not successfully done, check align print out for which print head is not printed properly, replace it..
Pl ensure that minimum 50% ink levels required in cartridges before performing the priming. Best of luck..

I bought 2 ink cartridges and did everything as always in the 2 yrs I've owned this HP 4315 printer. I want to know why isent it printing anymore even with new ink cartidges. I put the test page downward...

Your printer can not read cartridges
check if cartridges are ok if you have remove
tape from cartridge probaply you have an error
on cartridge carrier or printers motherboard

Lexmark 5400 cartridge carrier slams up against back???? Won't stop!! It's a new printer, put in a high cap black and low cap color cartridge. Any ideas how to fix this?


Cartridges may not be seated properly. Remove all the cartridges from the printer. Close the cover. Unplug the printer from the power source. Wait for about 10-15 seconds. Plug printer back to power source. If printer ink cartridge carrier still slams on the sides, encoder strip of the printer might be damaged. If it's still within warranty from where you bought it, have it replaced at that store. If ink cartridge carrier is not slamming to the sides, re-insert the cartridges. Make sure there are no obstructions along the carrier's path. Close the cover. Let the printer print the alignment page. If it's still going to slam the carrier, have it replaced.

I have just replaced 2 ink tanks and they are in correctly. But after printing only one page which is slightly out of alignment up comes the error 5100 code. What happened ?


The print carrier is being interfered with. Take out the cartridges and make sure that there is nothing interfering with the movement of the carriage. The paper being askew indicates that there is something inside the printer interfering with the paper path and the 5100 message indicates the obstruction is also affecting the ink carriage.

Message in LED is ''Remove and check color cartridge''


It means that the printer has detected a problem with the color cartridge. If it holds multicolors one could be empty & the cartridge must be replaced in order for it to work. Best advice would be to try a new cartridge and see if the error message goes away. Hope this helps.

Carrier Stall is the error


Hi,
Please do the following..

To check the cartridge carrier:
  1. Unplug the printer.
  2. Move the cartridges to the left by hand and then take them out.
  3. Try to print without the cartridges in the carrier. Do you still receive a Carrier Stall error message?
  4. If not, put the cartridges back into the carrier and snap them in at the back. The message should no longer appear.
If the power light on the printer is not blinking, the error message may be caused by a communication error. Do the following:
  1. Remove any other devices attached to the USB/LPT port.
  2. Uninstall the Lexmark printer.
  3. Connect the printer directly to the PC and ensure that power is being supplied to the printer.
  4. Reinstall the printer.

This is Vikram Kumar Thumu from India-Hyderabad. I have seen your issue and I would like to provide my solution on the issue.

Well, this is the issue that could happen with either with Printer Software or with Printer Ink cartidges that could be out of ink or very low in ink...


To isolate and to resolve the issue I recommend you to perform below solution. I hope that this will fix the issue for you.

Solution 1: Hard Reset Printer
---------------

1. Turn OFF printer
2. Disconnect Printer from Computer.
3. Remove the Printer Power Cable from wall outlet and then try to remove the ink cartidges from Printer.
4. Wait for a minute.
5. and then reseat the Printer ink cartidges and then Connect the Printer cable to the Computer and then Power ON Printer.

This should generally fix the issue. However, if the issue still persists then I recommend you to proceed further solution on the issue.

Soltution 2:
---------------

Right click on the Printer icon of HP Deskjet D4100 Series and then select the option " online " and then press F5 key in the keyboard. to effect the changes.

Solution 3:
---------------

Try to print a Cartidges Test page from Printer Properties to check the ink cartidges ink status.

if found issue with ink cartridges then replace them else try to uninstall and reinstall the Printer software.

This should resolve the issue. If the issue still persists then I recommend you to contact HP CHAT SUPPORT or HP PHONE SUPPORT team or HP EMAIL Support on this issue. They can help you further to resolve the issue for you.

Error 1200, printer carrier stall


check printer belt for missing teeth if none are missing lubricate carrier bar(big siler bar that ink cartrides trvel along) with 3in 1 oil with power off then back on to retry

Ink cartridge


Not quite sure what you mean but if it is stuck under the housing then that would give the error. Could it be that the cartridge wasn't installed straight and this has caused it to become jammed?
