This is a motor issue. It will require service. LG = ****. We purchased all LG appliances for our new kitchen. The french door refrigerator has its ice maker go out twice. Our dishwasher also has had the LE code on it several times. The over-the-range microwave also clunked out.

Want some advise? Dump that LG ****. Give it to an enemy.

I got the 'LE' error code for the LG LDF6810ST dishwasher. The serial number is 604KW02152. I removed the door cover as some of the other solutions suggested, but the wires looked fine. I was...

This error can sometimes present because of a miscommunication between the control panel and the wash motor. In this instance, the washer simply needs to be reset.

Step 1: Unplug the washing machine.
Step 2: While the washer remains unplugged, press and hold the [Start/Pause] button on the front panel for 5 seconds.
Step 3: Plug the unit back in, and run a rinse and spin cycle to test if the LE code is cleared.

Are there soap suds visible in the drum?
Over-sudsing is the main cause of LE error codes. Using non-HE (high efficiency) detergents or too much detergent will cause stress on the motor. In addition, detergent residue can also cause leaking and odor. Follow these steps to resolved an LE error code caused by over-sudsing.

Step 1: Unplug the washer and allow the unit to sit for 30 minutes to give the suds time to dissolve.
Step 2: Plug the washer back in and press [Power] to turn on the washer.
Step 3: Do not choose a washing cycle. Press the [Spin Speed] key until "No Spin" is selected.
Step 4: Press [Start/Pause] to begin a drain only cycle.
Step 5: After the drain only cycle has completed, remove the clothing items from the machine. Turn the power back on and select [Rinse and Spin] and then press [Start/Pause]. This will remove excess soap suds and light residue from the drum. Repeat this step until no visible suds are in the drum of the washer.

Hope this helps.

The code LE shows up on the dishwasher and then the cycle stops

Is it an LG. LE is usually a motor code. Enter your model # and code in a search to see specifics. this should give you a good idea as to what you are looking at. Possible problem from your description are motor, control or harness.

I get an LE error message on my LG Dishwasher. I replaced the pump. Still get the LE error. Replaced the main control. Still get the LE. No blockage in the pump. What now?

When you receive the LE error code, unplug the machine for approximately 15 - 20 minutes. This will reset the microprocessor.

Oversudsing is the main cause of LE error codes. Using non-HE detergents or too much detergent will cause stress on the motor. Oversudsing can also cause leaking and odor.

A breakdown in the signal between the microprocessor and the motor may cause the error code. This can occur if there is a loose wire.

A couple of notes about this - there are at least three motors on this unit - the main pump, the drain pump, and the 'vario motor' which appears to control the direction of water flow through the sprayers. The main pump is the one likely to go bad. Another cause of the LE code is broken wires in the door. The wires in the door get stuck in the black sound insulation and eventually break. Sometimes, this causes the LE error code. Check the wires in the door first. They are located behind the large front panel. It's easily removed by undoing 6 screws.

Dishwashing cycle starts for about 3 minutes then flashing LE light comes on and the machine stops. Why?

Display Condition LE = Motor Error

Possible Cause For Error Occurrence:

Wiring connection is OK?
The Impeller of Washing Pump is locked.
The rotor of Washing Motor is locked.
The Blade is locked.

Remedy:

Check the wiring connection.
Replace the cause of restriction.
Replace the Washing Motor.
Replace the PCB.

Try the following steps:

Unplug the washing machine if you see an LE error on the two-digit display electronic readout. This error indicates a miscommunication between the control panel and wash motor.

Press and hold the "Start/Pause" button on the front panel for five seconds.

Plug the LG dishwasher back in.

Run a cycle. The LE code will clear.

LE error message

Hi there,

Well LE means locked motor, this seems to be a very common problem withe these dishwashers.

Possible Cause For Error Occurrence:
Wiring connection is OK?
The Impeller of Washing Pump is locked.
The rotor of Washing Motor is locked.
The Blade is locked.

Anyway the LE error code is not all-ways indicative of a motor problem. There are also strong chances of any lose connection (wire), so first you can simply unscrew the front door panel from the retaining screws on the inside of the perimeter of the door. Once the screws are removed pull down and out to remove the door panel. Remove the sound insulating material and you will see several wires routed from the contol panel the length of the door to underneath the unit. Inspect the wires thoroughly. Near the bottom is where the pinching can take place. There are two gray wires and if you have been getting the "LE" error code, one of those wires is most likely broken or pinched. Splice, reconnect, solder or tape.......

LE CODE

This problem started to occur for me about a week ago in about the same way as others have indicated, AND about 16 months beyond the expiration of the warranty. This CANNOT be a concidence. What a tick off! Also, the 800 number "help"line is a joke.At this point I am about ready to file a class action lawsuit, or at the least bad mouth this product to whomever, in or out of the media, will listen. Can I get an AMEN?
