I replaced the color wheel in my HLN5065W DLP tv now I dont even get a picture. After 3 times of it restarting itself I get 3 flashing lights on the front of the TV.

THIS IS JUST A SUGGESTION, IF I am right give me a very helpful vote here and a note, check the ribbon cable----color wheel has two cables--one regular and one orange--look at contacts on orange one--they should face the back of the light engine--it is very possible to put the cable in backwards--common issue.

No color TV on my Trutech 7'' LCD TV + DVD under the cabinet model KLV3170

The TV broadcast system in Brazil is PAL-M.
If this TV was bought from the US then the TV will be expecting the NTSC system.
Your other American TV may be a multi standard TV and is able to detect and adapt to your PAL broadcast system. Not all TVs do this.

How do you connect the DVD to the Trutech TV? Is it with a Scart connector? If so then the TV will not be using any broadcast standard at all and that is why it works properly.

Unfortunately if you have searched all the menus and manual instructions without finding a TV system selection, then this TV may never be able to receive TV broadcast in colour.

Hi. I have a Samsung DLP that I purchased about 7 years ago. Over the last week when watching HDTV channels ( live or PVR) some faces of people are showing a green line on the left side and then a red line...

Hi,Yes your problem sounds like the DMD board. This is how it works: http://electronics.howstuffworks.com/dlp1.htm Basically the light of the lamp goes through a tunnel that carries a color wheel(rotating disc with a gamma of colors that creates the colors on your tv)then the light of the lamp goes through the DMD board which is a chip composed of around 2 million pixels that creates the images and colors. When it starts to fail it will create black bars, pixelation, color distortion or white dots on screens. Here's a video that will help you find where the DMd chip is located : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0jr_9A5Xd2Q Have a blessed one!

Replaced color mirror and now bulb will not turn on. Samsung DLP projection TV

I presume you mean you replaced the color wheel?

If so, there is one very common error people make when doing this.

The color wheel has two cables--one is a small square plug and THE OTHER IS A FLAT ORANGE RIBBON CABLE WITH NO PLUG ON THE END.

The ribbon cable only has contacts where it plugs in on ONE side---the contacts in the socket usually face to the back of the set---It is possible to insert the cable in backwards--------if you do the set is going to detect the color wheel is not connected and NOT ALLOW THE LAMP TO COME ON!

Reply here and let me know if this is what happened to you----so I know if this information was helpful or if you need further assistance---I am here to help people.

My tv color is missing red and the people look

It sounds like you have a bad or broken COAX, or S-Video cable. Replace whichever you have. Or first just wiggle the COAX or S-Video cable and see if the color comes in proper.

I have a glow or a shadow around everything I watch...I tried the converse blue but i dont know if i did it right bc it didnt work...how can I fix that?

CRT Fluid is Cloudy

Projection TV tubes have a liquid coolant that is used to keep them from overheating. After many years the coolant in the blue and green tubes will become cloudy and cause the screen to look dull, red/orange, etc. You may even see halos around images.

Picture of a set that needs the fluid changed. Notice how dull the colors are and how white the screen looks. The screen may also look red, orange, dull, etc.

TV set after fluid change. Notice how bright the colors are now. Everthing looks crisp and sharp again.

What you will need to do is replace the coolant and clean the crt. You can get a repair kit from www.TvRepairKits.com that includes replacement coolant, photos. instructions, etc.
