We have the lexmark x1100 series and it will not print or scan. we disconnected the usb cord from both ends, restarted the comp. and reconnected the usb. still nothing. Then we tried to uninstall the printer and it said that the printer was in use and to wait for it to get done printing. It has yet to print a document, therefore it is not bussy. what do we do?

Go to start>run. Type msconfig. Click on the Services Tab. Look for lexbce server in the list. Check it if it's not started or uncheck it if it is.

Go to control panel>printers and faxes. Double-click the lexmark printer icon and check if there are documents in queue. if there are jobs waiting to be done. right click each and delete them. Wait until they are clear. If it doesnt clear out even after a long time, restart the computer. Try to print afterwards.

If this doesn't work, try adding the printer again. Go to control panel>printers and faxes. Click on 'add a printer' on the left pane. Make sure 'Automatically Detect and Install my Plug and Play Printer' is checked. It should detect the printer is it is connected and turned on. Otherwise, try connecting it to another usb port or to another computer. If possible try using another usb cable or installing a known good printer to the computer to check if the cable or printer is bad.

Remove the battery and power source. Remove the RAM and hdd. Power up with the power supply and it should do something. If it does, replace the RAM and hdd it should now restart. If nothing, check the GPU.

Why doesn't my HP 4620 print black ink


Either the BLACK INK CARTRIDGE is out of ink of it's possible the ink jets (they eject the ink onto the paper) are clogged/dirty. Your software under HP in PROGRAMS from the START MENU should provide a 'cleaning' cycle. How to Clean Print Heads is a link to help you with how.

How to load 3 hole punch paper in a copier


Like normal. Those three holes should not affect the print at all as all of the rollers are flat. I would not not stick it in a dot matrix printer though.

Hide file folder WITH A password


For the most part you need 3rd party software, or a USB drive with security built in. Just remember you are at the mercy of those companies if you lose the password. Plus some software will only works locally. For instance if someone removes the drive and connects it to another computer the files are wide open.
Win 7 Ult and Ent (high end editions have Bitlocker built in.
A simple way is to create a folder within his login account docs and choose hidden as the properties. The only way to see it would be to change folder properties and make hidden files visible. This is just cloaking, because anybody with admin rights can see them.

C:\preload\data9_04.inp cannot be recovered

After turn on my computer I have only three short beep.


Open the cpu cabinet cover.Then reconnect the RAM memory into motherboard. Make sure motherboard is not ground with cabinet cover. Clean dust from motherboard .If there is any pci or vga card reconnect it. Also pull cmos cell from motherboard for 10 minutes then all settings defaults then check. Mouse and keyboard have no power


If your mouse and keyboard work properly with another computer or laptop the problem could be :
A) if devices are USB :
- defective USB port : chose another USB port;
- USB port inactivated in BIOS : check and activate;
- motherboard defective : replace motherboard.
B) if devices are PS/2 :
- damaged PS/2 ports : buy a PS/2 to USB adapter for your mouse/keyboard or buy USB mouse and keyboard;
- motherboard defective : replace it.
