Question about Frigidaire PLES389D Electric Kitchen Range
sun, first test is to power the unit down. Find the pair of breakers which are generally 40 or more amperes. Turn them both off and back on. If this doesn't fix it, you will probably need a circuit board.

What holds the spring assembly onto the bar assembly is just two small prongs. Use a pliers on the end that protrudes through the bar, squeezing the prongs together, and it should come out fairly easily.

SOURCE: Where is the fuse panel
I can help , The fuse panel/control board is located behind the digital display in the front of the unit. Some drop in ranges are tricky getting into so be carefull when removing the face , there are screws under the display when opening the oven door look up and there may be a few more on the top side corners reveled when you pull the unit out 12" or so. there is a small glass fuse in the board some of these are not removable so if there is no digital display on your oven and your sure you have 240V to control board you will need to replace the entire control board. Hope this gets you there. Good luck let me know if you have anymore problems.

SOURCE: Our cooktop will not turn on!!
Got the same problem.
Here's a work around: Turn breaker off, second person needs to hold the CANCLE/LOCK button (keep holding it!)
Turn breaker back on and keep holding the button, lock feature may turn on, red lock light stays on, KEEP HOLDING THE BUTTON. At the end you will get a F11 (shorted keypad) warning. It may take up to 20 seconds or more but in my case the red lock light goes off, the dashes disappear and everything is back to normal.
Now here are the bad news. This does not fix the problem (I think it's the EOC). Every time the power goes off the red lock light and dashes will come back. It also may require to people to fix this/work around... but, hey, it doesn't cost anything either...

Hello friend, thanks for your post!
I see that the indicator for your cooktop continues to remain on for your Frigidaire range. It sounds like it could be a potential issue with your switches or control panel. I would recommend a reset on your range which you can do by flipping the household circuit breaker off for ten minutes. I hope this is helpful. -Matt

Hello friend, thank you for your post!
I understand that you are searching for the wattage on your Frigidaire range. In order to provide you more information I would need to have your model number. You can locate your serial tag (which lists your model number) on the outside of your cooktop base possibly on the edge or bottom under the unit. Once I have that information I can further assist you. I look forward to your response. -Matt

Hello k10251985 - Usually this type of data is not release to a consumer and it is very rare to find enough information to do it yourself. In most cases this material can be found on the internet; however it is not provided directly from the manufacturer. Typically this is something that you want a certified professional to install/remove for you due to safety and liability reasons. They also usually warranty their labor just in case something else may turn out to be the root cause of your initial problem. Consider contacting your manufacturer for more details on who in your area may guide you through this process.
