No Disc Message

I am new new new to camcorders. My Samsung SC-D372, I bought Maxell mini DVD-RW for camcorders (30 minute). I tried 2 from the pack so far in the camcorder.
When door closes, the access light blinks 2-4 times in one second, then...
instead of getting an on-screen question on which way to format, I get "No Disk" error. Do I have the correct media for this player? MY SC-DC173U WILL NOT RECOGNIZE DISC ANY HELP. i BOUGHT A SCAN DISC CARD 4GB AND HAVE BEEN USING CARD BUT THEN I HAVE TO DOWN LOAD AND BURN TO DISC
