Question about Sony Cell Phones

1 Answer

This is really a dumb question, as I have my phone on more than I have it off. I have a sony ericsson walkman phone thru ATT formerly cingular. I thought I remembered how to turn it on but tried the button with the ATT symbol didn't work. Do I slide the phone open or keep it closed when I turn it on. And what do I push and do. PLEASE TRY NOT TO LAUGH TOO HARD. misplaced my manual. Trudy

I did try the button on top of the phone holding down for quite a bit, no luck. I after I had finished charging it.  I plugged it back in showing the charging sign with the green filling the battery looking thingy. Unplugged it getting the ATT symbol, then the bars symbols; then the ATT whooshing sound and it shuts itself off and won't let me turn it back on.  I guess if I can't get it back on will take it back to ATT. In the mean time FYI I found an ATT forum on their site that mentions this being a problem with this phone, unfortunately.  I have had it for about a year.  Thanks so much for your input though.

The button with the at&t symbol is typically the button to access the web, the power button should be on the top or the side in a discrete location, denoted by and circle with a vertical line in the center of it. It should not matter if it is slid open or closed when turing it on, but make sure it may be dead so make sure it is charged or at least has been pluged in for at least a minute before attemting to turn it on.
