You could probably buy one directly from a third party part supply store over the internet like Ames Supply Company, Katun, or Precision Roller. I only use Canon parts myself but these parts may be a substitute for Canon. But I believe the Part Number is FH7-6080-000 for the scan lamp. Be sure to uplug the copier before replacing the scan lamp because the connector has AC voltage at the contacts. Good Luck.

Copystar cs-1815 error code 3200, how can it be fixed

If it is a c-3200 code it means that you have a exposure lamp problem.Defective scanner, defective scanner PCB,lamp or inverter board, incorrect shading, poor contact of the connector terminals on lamp assembly. Look for a bad connection And look at lamp. Look for blue rings or burnt ends. Now don't look at that light while its on.

I'm sure the lamp replacement is not a difficult task but finding the lamp itself could be a problem since even the manufacturers are not very helpful.
Did you ask them if they carry the lamp?

Do I need a new scanner bulb?

It sounds very much as if the scanner is faulty/failed. The warming-up phase is to ensure that the scanner lamps output is steady, making for consistent scans. Usually this is just a simple timing circuit.
Having once tried to fix a broken flatbed scanner myself, I found that obtaining the correct replacement lamp for it was impossible - I think inkjet printers and scanners are considered "consumable". You may be better off buying a new printer. Alternatively, if it keeps producing good prints, consider buying a separate scanner. HTH

Glass broke in Canon Copier PC921 need replacement

Just buy an ordinary glass from aluminum and glass supply shop. Just measure the thickness and with so they can cut the right size. We did try it to our machine and no bad effect on print pouts. Just give it a try.

Pages copy all black

It sound like the scanner is not lighting. Open the cover and press green copy button. As the scanner moves it should produce a green light. If it does not then the halogen lamp will have to be replaced. Its part number is FH7-3381-000 for the 120v model and FH7-3380-000 for the 220/240v one. personally I would not bother as they are not worth repairing.

My copier canon IR400 displays the error code E803,i need the meaning of the code.

I can give you the meaning of the code, but I'm sorry I can't necessarily "FIXYA" as the possibilities are many. The code means that when the copier went through its initial checks to make sure it was ready to perform properly for you, it "detected/percieved" that the scan lamp that illuminates your documents could not reach a brightness that would allow the copier to provide you with the copy quality you would expect. The copier has many ways of compensating for wear and age. Like turning the voltage/ power to the scan lamp UP .The copier has compensated as far as it can. The scan lamp is fried or close to it.What you must understand is that there are MANY variables that may give this code. The most likely is indeed the scan lamp as it is like any other lightbulb it weakens with time. The part # is FH7-3314-000. Now this may help. What happens when you first turn the copier on it does many self checks. One is to push the scan lamp to it's home position which of course is to the left. The lamp(flourecent) turns on and shines onto a white plate called the "standard white plate". The copier uses that as the standard for what white is and calibrates itself from there. "IF" the standard white plate is dirty (yellowed from time or dirt) then the copier knows no better than to turn up the power to the lamp as it is looking for a reflection that is bright enough to make good copies. If the plate is dirty then the lamp cannot overcome the dim reflection. So, power off the copier, clean the mirrors with a soft cloth and mild cleaner (water and Windex) and clean the underside of where the the lamp sits when it is at rest/"HOME position. What I mean is, when you first turn the copier on, and the document feeder is in the up position, you will see the scan lamp come on. Observe closely the area that it is "illuminating". THAT is on the underside of the far left and also needs to be cleaned.Just make sure that when you seek to clean stuff that the copier is OFF, for YOUR safety. So, we have a code that means the lamp can't get bright enough, and it may be bad.Or , the white plate may be dirty and the lamp can't get bright enough. The mirrors that you see (and there are 3) could be dirty and cause the light to be bad. Those are the basic, most common causes. I hope I helped you, I know I have explained the code and the most common causes. If I had a screwdriver that would reach you I would use it. :-) Pleasse let "FIXYA" know I helped to some degree, The really cool thing would be if you and I did indeed save you an expensive service call. Take care. SPINAL

I think u3 is fuser code. YOu can check this by opening front cover. Look on dorr and you will see a plastic "finger" sticking oout from the door. oposite this will be a slot that the finer slides in. Find a popsicle stick and GENTLY insert it in the slot until you hear movement, then look to the left side and a light should go on. if not you should see the u3 momentarily. If you do this means that the fuder lamp is out. the fuser lamp heats the roller that melts toner into the paper as the copy comes out the machine. If you see the light thenit is an optics movement or lamp problem.

It could be a thermo fuse fuser lamp or control board(not real likely). Before I can tell you how to furthe check it or replace the parts, I need to know your technical level.

Canon pc720 makes "crackly" sound, randomly shuts off mid-print, and displays error code E240

Your scan lamp is going bad. It is the flourecent type lamp that lights up under the glass. You can try making a copy with the top cover open and watch it. You will see it flickering before the code comes up.
$75 from Part#L5180 or the canon # FH7-3272-000
