Click on the Tools Menu Bar(ALT+T) item. See Compatibility View in Tools menu
NOTE: If Compatibiliy View is grayed out, then the webpage has no compatibility issues and does not need to have Compatibility View turned on for it. You can still use METHOD THREE below to turn on Compatibility View for it though if you like.

Facebook just keeps trying to load - I cant do anything cant even log out

What browser are you currently using?

Are you using Internet Explorer?

Try using a different browser it may work better for you or you can try starting Internet Explorer in safe mode to see if it is a plug-in that is hanging up the website.

Follow the instruction with in this link to start Internet Explorer in safe mode: Knowledge Base

If the website functions has expected under safe mode you will need to deactivate the problem plugin or just reset Internet Explorer. Here is a link on how to reset Internet Explorer: Reset Internet Explorer settings

If the above does not help you narrow down what is happening. Make sure that your computer is fully up-to-date, restart the machine, and see if the problem still occurs.

Let me know if that helps.

When I unistalled internet explorer 8 by accident but how do i reinstall internet explorer ?

Oops! Well, it may not be such a bad problem. This is what Microsoft has to say about it:
Reinstall Internet Explorer in Windows 8.1 and Windows 8 Because Internet Explorer is now a Windows feature in Windows 8.1 and Windows 8, you can't uninstall it. However, you can turn it off. To do this, follow the steps in the "Turn off Internet Explorer" section in Install or uninstall Internet Explorer (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-in/internet-explorer/install-ie) .

After you turn off Internet Explorer and then restart your computer, Internet Explorer will be removed from your computer.

You can also turn the Internet Explorer Windows feature back on to reinstall it on your computer.

Missing tool bar when I uploaded to Explorer 7. I cant click on tools to get it back because I dont have a tool bar to acces

Try to uninstall IE7. Once it's removed, restart your computer then it will revert back to the older version IE6. After that you can opt to install IE7 again or much better a newer version like 8 or 9.

To uninstall IE7, kindly follow these steps:
  1. Close all programs.
  2. Click Start and then click Control Panel.
  3. Click Uninstall a Program under the Programs category
  4. In the Tasks pane, click View installed updates.
  5. In the list of installed updates, double-click Windows Internet Explorer 7. In the Uninstall an update dialog box, click Yes.

Note If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type the password, or click Continue.
  6. Follow the instructions to uninstall Internet Explorer 7.
  7. When the uninstall program is finished, restart your computer.
  8. After you restart your computer, open Internet Explorer. Click Help>About Internet Explorer and check if it's on version 6. If it is then proceed with upgrading to a higher version again.

    Hope this helps.

I cant get connect to a internet everytime i click internet explorer it say cant find a dsn error or internet explorer i have internect service at home and still cant get connected

are you sure its DSN and not a DNS error if the latter
Open your Internet Explorer browser. It doesn't matter what page your browser opens to as long as it is open. Click on the Tools option at the top of your Internet Explorer screen. Next, click on Internet Options followed by security Tab In the Security Tab, click on the Custom Level tab located at the bottom of the screen. Check the Medium security level drop down box once on the Custom Level screen. You will also need to browse through the options find the setting Access Data Across Domains and put a check in that box to enable the feature. Finally choose the Apply option and the exist the program. You might need to restart your computer for the changes to apply hope this helps

I have an Acer Aspire One. Just got Comcast service. The Acer will connect to the wireless internet but I can't open internet explorer to browse the internet. I've done just about everything.

Hi wood_fami528,

If you cant open and run Internet Explorer it might be corrupted. There are some ways on how to diagnose if the Internet Explorer has been corrupted, try to use a different browser like Google chrome or Mozilla. Check if both browsers are working fine with your computer. If you can use other browser try to uninstall and reinstall the Internet Explorer. Here are the basic steps on how to reinstall it again.

1. Before you uninstall the program please make sure to download the latest Internet Explorer using a different browser.
--> you can download it here.

2. Uninstall the Internet Explorer by going to the control panel.
--> Click Start button, point to control panel, Add remove programs then click Internet Explorer then uninstall it.

3. After you uninstalled the Internet Explorer you may now restart the system.

4. Turn on the computer then install the latest Internet Explorer.

5. Restart again the computer and you should good by now.

-- if you're still experiencing the same issue, try to do a system restore.

Hope it helps.

Nero8

in IE (internet Explorer) goto file, then in the "work offline" bar has a check next to it, uncheck it, this should bring back your internet. I cant think of any other reason why nero 8 would ruin your web, unless its a cracked downloaded version, that more than likly contains a virus.
