Question about Behringer EUROPOWER EP2500 Amplifier

1 Answer

Power problem I have a Behringer Europower PMP 2000 Powered Mixer. It is about 6 months old and has been used once. A few weekends ago, I attempted to set it up again for Band practice, however when I attatched the chord and tried to power it on, nothing happened. I thought that maybe for some reason the chord had gone bad so I got another chord. Still no power. I took it back to guitar center where I got and they said that since I did not buy insurance on it there was nothing they could do and I would need to contact you all. Any idea why it won't power on?

If you bought it brand new and is only 6 months old, I would suggest to contact the manufacturers to get repaired under warranty since most electronics devices carry one year warranty.
Good Luck.

How do i hook up my laptop and my tablet to a behringer Europower PMX 2000

Easy to do - just get a patch cord that has a stereo 1/8" plug on one end and two phono (RCA) plugs on the other end. Plug the phono plugs into the "Tape IN" jacks on the mixer and use the "Tape" volume to adjust the sound level. It's best to turn your laptop or tablet volume up to maximum, then adjust the volume on the mixer.

I bought a mixer with this model "Behringer XENYX 1204USB 12 Ch USB Mixer". And i'm planning to have a set-up of 2 electric-acoustic guitars and 3 microphone vocals. What would be the best wattage of...

Hello Sir, Hi, the amplifier best suited for it would be a Behringer also, the EP2500 would be a match, and the eurolive B815neo speakers, but this cost a lot, any amplifier and a corresponding speaker will do. for your electric guitars or acoustics the GTX30. If you will use your 15" speakers, match it with a right amplifier, you did not mention its watts rating, If your speakers are 250 watts, then buy an amplifier slightly higher that 250 watt,

I have a behringer powererd mixer will not power up from the mains when it is turned on

I would request you to carefully open the set after disconnectingg the power. Use a good multimeter in the continuity range to check the line of the main line to the set, the fuse and the mains switch/. Check for continuity to the transformer and to the seccondarry voltage that gives the dc. If there is dc coming aout check on all the different ranges, the one going to the mP IC , check for the conrol panel mP for any visible damage. Check on the X'Tal osc to confirm if the mP if faulty. Attempt only if your are familiar otherwise seek help. Hope this helps. Good day

I have a behringer pmp 880s powered mixer it has a blown IC chip In need the part number.

Please note that there are many chips in the Behringer devices and we can't guess what the chip might be since we have no idea where it is in the unit.

HINT: There are MANY circuits in common in the lines of music equipment. See if the circuit board has a part number as well. The board may be in common with other PMP boards.

Also note the chip location, such as IC12 and also tell the type, Thru hole or surface mount, and the number of leads and ANY number on the chip.

I am not familiar with the particulars of your specific model, but with switch mode supplies in gereral, look for defective filter caps on the output side or a defective Zener Diode. If you can post a few photos of the power supply section, I may be able to guide you to the likely parts. Dan
