you can't add a photo which you have sent through Bluetooth as it is stored in a emulated environment. try to move the photo first on your images folder or whichever folder you want thereby removing it from the emulated environment. then go to contacts, tap menu, tap the contact you want to edit, tap the image, tap assign or replace, then locate the images you move and assigned it.
else you can also try the work around.
locate the folder where you stored the transferred photo, tap the image, tap menu, tap set as, there are some options asking you what you want to do, set as wallpaper, etc and one of them is set as contact photo, tap set as contact photo, locate the contact whom you want to assign the image and then tap save.

you probably deleted all photos from your memory and now there is non ..try to make one ..or ...download one ..or transfer from computer ..or by bluetooth ..and after that open it ..and under the options ..choose to set as background or wallpaper ..or ..go to a site that has walpapers and themes for your model ..and download some ..and load into your phone ...in each ones special folders...wallpapers goes to pictures or images..and themes to themes...folder...and after that try to set it again ..
Leave the photo opened on view and then right click on the desktop, then click on Properties > Settings tab.
You can then experiment with the different screen resolutions until you find one that displays your photos properly and proportionately scaled. For example move the small slider to 1600 x 1200 pixels and press OK. If the photo still doesn't look ok just repeat the above steps and try another resolution setting by moving the slider further to the left or right.
