Re: internal cooker hood
I'm Harvey the Master Plumber.
Your problem is: You live in a flat with no chimney and you would like to install a cooker hood. how do you do this please?
Is there living space above? If so you can't go straight up. If your range is on an outside wall, it can be piped out the back. If only attic or roof above, no problem. Just pipe it straight up useing B-vent pipe or equivlent. If you can't do any of this just get a hood that vents filtered air back into the room.

The fuse will be located in the switch or socket that the hood is connected to. This is sometimes inside the flue on the back wall. There should be two small screws either side of the chimney located at the top, unscrew and slide one part of the chimney down, please be careful as stainless steel has very sharp edges.
Hoods should blow out from the chimney, its defianately not a wiring problem. If it is blowing down towards your cooker instead of sucking up then you should contact Range as it could be a manufacturing fault.
you will have to place a straight edge on the top on the hood near the exhaust pipe then mesure from the floor to the bottom of the straight edge, that will give you depth then here is the demisons you have to build the box in. And if you don't have the power there you need to get a contrator or do it yourselfer to install it four you.
