Try a warranty repair or replacement.

seems silly, but did you remember to plug it in? If you used a power strip, did you remember to make sure the strip is turned on?

Make sure the connection is plugged into the machine.

No probley not it needs a new battery more than likely they can be bought for around $25.00 or so no fun to put in very delicate.

Well try a new ac adapter to see if it makes a difference then.

APC SUA2200XL true names matter of the service tag.. for sure
your IT guy is savvy, over night reset dead AC no batteries.
this UPS has 6 fault LED top left front.
those are binary codes, and all codes and blink types matter

the UPS will not run with batteries bad
it runs a self test at turn on and if batteries fail it can not turn on
and stays in bypass mode.

with new batteries let them charge for 4 hours at least.
before testing run times on inverter. or using inverter at all.
they must be good and changed fully both.

This is clearly a serious manufacture flaw, it is possible there is a bad solder connection, but I would take it back and push for a replacement.

Its a power fault from the motherboard or a defective charger.

This will sound strange, but some DVD players and cable boxes have separate volume controls. I would check the settings for both of those to make sure that the volume has not been turned down and also check the connections from the dvd player and cable box to the tv. Make sure all connections are solid.
