Question about GE WCCB1030 Top Load Washer

2 Answers

Timer type Hi after reading some of your previous answers i found that my timer needed replacing. My ge commercial washing machine is model number wccb1030dowc with a invensys timing mechanism. The problem im having is that when searching for a replacement the wccb series has many different numbered timers such as wh12x929 and wh12x933 etc. Im guessing this has to do with the switchs cycles. I cannot find any such number on my timer. Will any one of these work and if not do you know ,what specific invensys timer is in a wccb1030dowc. Thanx!!

Increase volume of the Timer on a GE Gas range

Which model of range do you have?
Ok I found the GE owners manual for this range.
I read through it a couple of times and it doesn't mention anything about adjusting the timer volume. However, there is a GE hotline you may call during regular business hours that would probable be the best way of finding out if it can be adjusted. that number is
GE Appliances Answer Center®

Saturday: 8 a.m.–7 p.m. ET
Sunday: Closed
Sorry I wasn't able to find the specific answer but if this 1 800 number doesn't have the answer nobody does.

Repair clinic also has toll free number, and live chat.
Possibly they have a troubleshoot that will identify if timer is bad, or another part is cause of problem.

Gets stuck in cycle I have to turn the knob to get it to continue. The machine is the heavy duty large capacity I can't find a model #

Looks like you need a timer. If the model number is really gone there should be a part number n the timer. look everywhere around the door/lid and even on the back. Eric

Need to find an Eaton timer for a GE washing machine ( 20 yrs old) Eaton part number 114-317-20 1/3 rpm, 115 vac. thanks Bob Westerdale PS- not sure of the model number on the washer. label is missing.

What is the GE part number it ? What is exactly the problem with the timer? Is i the AC timer motor or is it the contacts? You may be able to disassemble the timer & repair it.
Ebay is also a source for older parts.

Please I need the colors and in which number I need to put them back at the timer

If you look on the back of the timer,...if it is an older type timer/dryer which it sounds like it is because most modern timers have plug in type wirering harnesses, will see,(you might need magnifying glass), that each point to connect a wire at will have a y, (yellow), g, (green), blu, (for blue), R, (Red), V, (violet) and blk or bk for black and so on and so for stamped on the time next to the spade the wire connects to...write back with a model number if that doesn't help...

It washes but will not spin

After having a similar problem and looking all over this website, I found a lot of answers from "experts" saying that the washer should be replaced, or replace the motor, etc.
I just found this at the GE website, and it cured the problem in less than 2 minutes. I'm no expert, but I'd at least recommend trying this.

Be sure you are using the EXACT replacement part. The wiring may be different if it is a "close" match.

Will not move to the next cycle.

  • It's the timer, if your washing machine fills with water and begins agitating, but the timer never advances--or if the washer is in a spin cycle and the timer won't advance. Then you need to replace the timer.

  • It may be a cold-water supply problem, if the washing machine fills with water, agitates, drains, and spins, but then doesn't fill with rinse water. See There's no cold water.
