Question about GE WCCB1030 Top Load Washer

2 Answers

Timer type Hi after reading some of your previous answers i found that my timer needed replacing. My ge commercial washing machine is model number wccb1030dowc with a invensys timing mechanism. The problem im having is that when searching for a replacement the wccb series has many different numbered timers such as wh12x929 and wh12x933 etc. Im guessing this has to do with the switchs cycles. I cannot find any such number on my timer. Will any one of these work and if not do you know ,what specific invensys timer is in a wccb1030dowc. Thanx!!

I've found the timer the part number is AP57236 but you have to call 1-877-477-7278 It requires special attention. The timer knob is part number AP3099107 and cost $20.28 If anyone can help find the parts you need these people are great to work with and their price and shipping charges are very reasonable. I hope you find the answer that you're looking for.

Gets stuck in cycle I have to turn the knob to get it to continue. The machine is the heavy duty large capacity I can't find a model #

Looks like you need a timer. If the model number is really gone there should be a part number n the timer. look everywhere around the door/lid and even on the back. Eric

What is the GE part number it ? What is exactly the problem with the timer? Is i the AC timer motor or is it the contacts? You may be able to disassemble the timer & repair it.
Ebay is also a source for older parts.

Please I need the colors and in which number I need to put them back at the timer

If you look on the back of the timer,...if it is an older type timer/dryer which it sounds like it is because most modern timers have plug in type wirering harnesses, will see,(you might need magnifying glass), that each point to connect a wire at will have a y, (yellow), g, (green), blu, (for blue), R, (Red), V, (violet) and blk or bk for black and so on and so for stamped on the time next to the spade the wire connects to...write back with a model number if that doesn't help...

It washes but will not spin

After having a similar problem and looking all over this website, I found a lot of answers from "experts" saying that the washer should be replaced, or replace the motor, etc.
I just found this at the GE website, and it cured the problem in less than 2 minutes. I'm no expert, but I'd at least recommend trying this.

Be sure you are using the EXACT replacement part. The wiring may be different if it is a "close" match.

Will not move to the next cycle.

  • It's the timer, if your washing machine fills with water and begins agitating, but the timer never advances--or if the washer is in a spin cycle and the timer won't advance. Then you need to replace the timer.

  • It may be a cold-water supply problem, if the washing machine fills with water, agitates, drains, and spins, but then doesn't fill with rinse water. See There's no cold water.
