My whirlpool Max microwave has stopped heating up the food. How can I fix it ?

Does the microwave turn on, the plate spins and it counts down time?

If so, and the only issue is that the microwave is not heating you are looking at a High Voltage transformer or a Magnetron. Either parts should only be installed by a service technician, and will cost you $100+ for the repair at most repair shops.

I just bought a Whirlpool Max 24 microwave. I can't get it to work. the instructions are in a language I don't know. Basia

If you were to log on to the manufacturer's web site, I think you will be pleasantly surprised as usually one is able to download, by model number, Customer Instruction Manuals, list of Dealers for spare part supplies and Driver downloads (if applicable) as required.

The information is normally free of charge.

Hopefully you will be able to download an English language version.

I hope this helps.

Hi Just received new Whirlpool Max 25 microwave. It all checked out fine first of all - I set the clock and the timer ok and tested by heating a mug of water and it worked fine. I unplugged it to move it...

It sounds like there may be a misaligned door switch mount or door hinge.

Since it's less than one year old, it should be fully covered under warranty. I'd suggest contacting the manufacturer again to get it fixed free.

You will have to contact Whirlpool again. You can call the number in the manual or visit the Web site they might give their.

I would ask for their nearest authorized service center.
