No, but you need to configure the router to connect to the internet, you should have a "quick start guide" that will help you connect to your router and set your ADSL dial settings (as it needs this to connect you to your internet service)
once these connection settings are set you should be able to connect to the internet
you can then explore the other settings including the wireless configuration of your router
