Question about HP OfficeJet d145 InkJet Printer
I make a cover sheet and placed pages to be scanned in place. Cover sheet sends but pages in the feeder do not feed.
The pages placed in the feeder will send without a cover sheet but must be sent separately.
There are 3 options of software for this scanner (my son wanted to check out his same model all in one and apparently it automatically added the additional software) on my computer. Could these additional software selections be confusing my computer?
I can not find the original software cd's so I am not sure if I should try to remove all programs and try to replace the software on line.

you have to replace it if cleaning doesn't help. look for the seperation tire or pad if it picks up the paper from the top first then the sep is on the bottom and vice versa. Clean that on really good this is the one that seperates the paper and stops it from feeding more than one sheet.

your case seems the cassette feed unit can not detected by cassette unit sensor which locate around the paper input roller area.you need to check
1) the cassette push in the well position which can touch the sensor well egnough
2) find out this sensor and adjust the sensor sdander position (more sensitive).
