Our Dynex 19" with DVD Integrated just went caputz. I turn it on and it either gives me the no database issue or it just blinks on and the screen goes black. My 360 is connected to it and It blinks the picture once then goes black. I dont have cable I only use it to watch movies or play in my xbox360...

What you have to do it go to the TV Menu and go to channel. Then go to channel scan and do one of those. THe problem is that is just doesnt know where to look for channels, but a quick scan will fix that.

I solved the no database problem by unplugging it overnight and doing an auto scan on the free channels then doing an auto-scan on with the cable connected.......i did follw the solution above but this did work for me.

Sloved!!! All you have to do is unplug the power and the cable connection for a day... It will reset the database.. Then put power back on to the TV and turn on the tv on one channel without cable.. Then set the tv to air instead of Tvcable... The database should reset itself and then change the tv mode back to TV cable...The TV is working fine..

I have cello TV and now no channels . have tried factory reset and still shows message as Database empty. What can you suggest?

To Get free broadcasts you will need to 1) have an antenna and 2) run the Channel Scan or Auto-TUne program. Any antenna will work - Rabbit ears etc. Once connected you need to go to setup and run the channel scan - it will find the digital channels in your area and load them into the database. You can get an antenna at Radio Shack, Meijer, Kmart etc. any place they sell TV's. Like I said even the old Rabbit Ear antennas work fine for Digital TV.

Problem, unable to access any digital channels. TV displays error message Database Empty, any way of removing this message and accessing DTV again. Thanks

If the database is empty you need to re load the system.
With your remote controller, go to menu and from that you need to select install or setup.
This will scan for all available channels and store them for use.
Hope that helps.

No Signal No Database

In your TV Menu select "Channel." In this list you must now select "Auto Scan" then select "Start to Scan." Wait for the scan to complete, this should solve your problem.
