It is on it's way out, I just had a viewsonic go into a similar downward spiral. If you are still covered under the waurantee call them, as it will only get worse with time. If you have another monitor, try swaping it out to make sure. Mine went downhill over a period of a month or so. To where I would have to put the connector in and out several times, when I called they knew exactally what it was, good luck

Asus n75sf-dh71 second hard drive not recognized

The second drive may not be part of the user accessible system, it is probably the system restore drive. According to the manufacturer spec your system should only have one HDD at 1TB. Without looking at the BIOS it is not possible for me to advise on the correct procedure to enable something that may already be in use.

This mainboard is not detecting my graphics card. Im using a ASUS EAH5770 CUcore/G/2DI/1GD5 in the PCI slot.

The card should be plugged into the black slot, not the red one (The one closest to the processor socket). If you are getting a picture on your monitor, then your mainboard is detecting the graphics card.

Tidak bisa didukung audionya

Hello there, I am the Expert that will be helping you today, my name is damnor01. Welcome to Fixya.

You need to use Google and find the sound/audio drivers for your Sound Card.

Find the model number written on the sound Card or if you are using onboard audio use the mainboard model number.

The mainboard model number can be found, either between the PCI, AGP Slots or around the RAM Slots.

Thanking you

As i turn on my pc, i hear 1long and 2short beep..and the light of the monitor power is blinking..what could be the problem? Hope that you can help me..TNX

Hello,
The beep code you are getting Indicates a video error has occurred and the BIOS cannot initialize the video screen to display any additional information. Plan English - you have a bad video card or port. If your video output is on a PCI card, replace the card. If it's on the board, you will need to replace your motherboard.

Good Luck

Problem with Pundit-R and PCI graphics card

I had a similar problem when installing a GeForce 5200 256mb PCI card in my Asus Pundit-S running winxp which I overcame when I got the sequencing of installation right.

First, Physically install the card in one of the available PCI slots. Using the onboard graphics to your monitor, boot the system. Windows will detect your new card and prompt you to install. Cancel Windows installation and use the supplied Radeon install disc for driver and program installation. After that, Reboot and enter your system's BIOS. On my system, repeatedly hitting the delete key gets me there.

Now this is where it may differ. In my BIOS, I needed to select the ADVANCED Menu followed by PCI CONFIGURATION. If your BIOS does not have the ADVANCED menu, you may have to upgrade it by downloading from the Asus Global Site. That is a whole other challenge but it is possible...hehe

The two options that need to be changed in the PCI Config Menu are:
Primary VGA BIOS -> PCI VGA Card, and
Onboard VGA -> Disabled.

Save changes and exit BIOS however, on exiting, you will need to unplug the VGA/DVI cable from your onboard port and connect it to your PCI card port. My card will not display the content unless it is plugged in from initial boot so you might have to restart your computer if you are not quick enough to catch that boot cycle.

Selecting these options should avoid any onboard conflict between devices as the Pundit-R has an onboard Radeon 9100 chip. I suspect the two same-make chips is where the conflict problem lies plus you don't need to be running the onboard graphics if you have a dedicated PCI card.

I hope this helps.

Good Luck.

Monitor Problem

Well assuming you used the same video cable when you tested the monitor on the Asus PC you?re left with: - Physical problem with the Asus video card. - Asus video card configuration problem. - BIOS configuration problem - Possibly a problem with the DVI/VGA adaptor depending on the answer below. A couple of questions about the Asus before we start: - I?m not sure I understand how the DVI/VGA converter figures into this. Is your cable coming off the monitor DVI thus you need it to plug into the Asus VGA connector? If yes who is the manufacturer of the device and what model do you have? - Has the Asus worked in the past with another monitor or is this new? - What is its history/configuration?
