We went on vacation for 2 weeks and our oven has Code F7. We have turned off the power for several hours but we can't clear the code. I'm very handy and can replace any part that might be faulty.
I have same problem, power surge, have to have entire control panel replaced.
If your Kenmore model # begins with 911 in is actually made by Roper. Kenmore is just a trade name. They do not actually manufacture anything themselves.

F7 stuck keypad Stuck keypad may mean relay is turned on. Determine if problem is with the Key Panel or Control by: 1. Pushing CLEAR/OFF pad. 2. Disconnecting Ribbon Cable from control and waiting at least 32 seconds to see if Code recurs
If code recurs, problem is in the control. Replace control.
If code does not recur, problem is with the Key Panel.
OK, this code is signaling an issue concerning the key pad or control board.

Try this first! The control panel has a flat ribbon cable that plugs into the relay module. The ribbon is actually two ribbons pressed together. The plastic insulation has a defect, and the leads between the two ribbons cross. You can seperate them easily by lifting them apart. Place a piece of paper between them to act as an insulator. This should solve your problem. If that does not work, repalce the defective parts yourself. You can do it for about 30% of what a repair company would charge. it's either got to be 1. Control panel 2. Relay panel. Good luck!!!
It's a common problem posted all over the internet. This solution works if you're willing to try it. Make sure you cut off power at the circuit breaker box in the garage.
