According to the manual, nothing. Lifting the handset cancels the headset, but it doesn't say anything about the speakerphone working with the headset plugged into the AUX jack.

Just for fun, either press the headset button so it's not lit, or program another button for something else (another feature). To do this, find a spare button and dial intercom **1 the button and dial 95 or 96 or 97 and TRSF.

Now you have a button for HEADSET and another feature. Press the other feature button and then see if the speaker works. I don't expect it to, but I don't have my Impact set up here to test it.

NOTE: Before re-subscribing the system make sure the IntelliStand switch (on the right side of the charging base) is in the "_" position and NOT the "=" position.

To Re-Subscribe:

The headset and the base unit are supplied subscribed to each other. However, if you wish to use a replacement headset with the base unit (or if you lose your connection to the base unit), then you must re-subscribe as follows:

1. Return the headset to the charging base.

2. Press and hold both the + and - buttons on the back of the charging base until the red light on the front of the base starts to flash.

3. Let go of both buttons. The red light should continue to flash.

4. Press the mute switch (black wheel on the top of the headset) straight down until a green light appears on the headset, then let go of the wheel, and the light should remain on the headset.

5. Resubscription is finished when the red light on the base is fully illuminated and the green light on the headset disappears.

6. Remove the headset from the charging base lift telephone handset/press headset button if not using a handset lifter. The headset and base should now be connected.

7. If this procedure does not resolve your issue to try a system reset.

How do I get my headset to work on NEC SV8100

to use the headset port you can program a button that toggles between the handset piece and the headset port (under the handset),
assuming that your installer has used standard feature codes, press the following;
? Press Speaker key.
? Dial 751.
? Press an available Function key. (one of your unused 24 buttons)
? Dial 05.
? Press Speaker key.

the Function button is now your Headset pickup/release button

We have a meridian M7310 telephone system, and have just bought some headsets. Unfortunately we wish to use both headset, handset or speaker phone. Is this possible? Because at the moment we can only...

First of all, make sure you're plugged into the headset port of the telephone and not the handset port. Pressing the Handsfree button should change from handset to headset. You can't use the speaker phone with the headset plugged in.

How to use a headset for comdial 7260-00 HAC?

I'm guessing you already figured out how to plug it in, so the next thing is to enable it :-)

FEATURE 9# enables FEATURE *9# disables.

The Speaker On Off controls the headset after it's enabled.

Does the comdial 8324sj-fb have a headset jack on the base?

I can help you with your Comdial 8324sj-fb phone question.

Yes, there are three jacks on the bottom of the Comdial 8324sj-fb: One is for the line cord, the second is for the handset, and the third is for a headset.

I hope that helps.

I need the pinout for the Avaya 2400 series telephone headset RJ-11 Jack.

I noticed that Avaya headset is different from the Avaya handset or any other standard headset: The outer two pins are switched.

Avaya-Headset-pinning is like this:
Look to the RJ11 and turn it until you see leads from top and from front, then from left to right you look at
1) mic 5V
2) speak
3) speak
4) mic gnd

RJ11 of Avaya-handset and any standard headset/handset from the supermarket:
1) mic gnd
2) speak
3) speak
4) mic 5V

Hope that helps.
