Bobbins for viking emerald 118

I know they're plastic, but there seems to be a couple different sizes. I don't think it takes the green one. Could you give me a #, or size? I bought a 15J bobbin for it. Is this correct?

The Emerald 118 takes a bobbin that is very close in size to a Singer Class 15 bobbin, but it is slightly different.
Don't buy green bobbins for a standard Husqvarna machine. They will not work.
Any Husqvarna dealer can get the Emerald bobbins for you.

According to the Husqvarna website, your Emerald 118 does take the green bobbins.

How can I repair the top thread from tangling in the bobbin stopper for the Husqvarna Viking Emerald 118?

Thread nesting in bottom usually means that top thread is either not threaded correctly or top tension dials has lint caught in it. Use canned air to blow it out. Also change needle.

My viking emerald 118 machine just started breaking needles and the bobbin thread will not hold. YOu can pull the bobbin stitch out by pulling the thread.

Check the upper tension by lowering the presser foot and pulling on the thread through the needle. You should feel resistance. If not, take a stiff brush and clean out the tension disks/dials removing any loose threads or lint. If upper tension is ok, check bobbin tension by pulling thread through needle plate opening. You should feel resistance. If not, remove bobbin case and brush any loose threads or lint from the case, especially in the tension spring where the thread is snapped into place. You may need to use a sharp needle to dig in between the spring but be careful that you don't damage it.

Needle stop up/down no longer works on Viking 118

sometimes the bobbin winder gets left closed, and that will make the machine run slowly and with no up/down button.

I need a new power cord for my Husqvarna emerald 118

Check with your local Husqvarna Viking dealer. They should be able to order you a new one. To find a dealer near you, check the Husqvarna Viking website. Or you could try ebay.

I have the Viking Emerald 122/118/116. I can hear the motor running, but it will not do any stiching. I have cleaned the hook assembly area. Can you help? Thank you

sounds like the circuit board. Take it to an authorized Husqvarna Viking dealer for service or have them send to Husqvarna Viking (SVP) Technical Service Dept for repair. A list of authorized dealers can be found at Husqvarna Viking website - http://www.husqvarnaviking.com/us

Good luck.
